Piquet was the confessed "trigger man" and he gets an apology and money? Now that is ludicrous. I hope he gets charged in Singapore and thrown in jail, and the Singapore government can get hold of whatever money he gets from his Renault payout. Whoever agreed at the FiA to give him immunity for his testimony should be sacked/punished.

I understand your anger but unfortunately things work this way in F1. When the responsible of enforcing the rules are the first in changing and breaking them constantly, it isn’t weird that the rest of people do the same.

Jack, there is a way for you to quote 5 separate people at one time, rather than reposting as frequently as you do. :wavey:

Sorry Big. I’m a little bit clumsy and I’m still adapting myself to the forum. I would try to do things better in this aspect.

it didnt seem that obvious to be honest, but if you were kidding then well, yeah :hehe: and just one thing also if piquet hadnt crashed he would probaly been sacked at the end of 08

You believe that justifies what Piquet did? And he deserved an apology and money? I can’t agree with you.

no but it was peer pressure from flavio, we all know what a slime bag he is now and the piquets deserve an apology and copensation for false allegations and putting piquet jr in a awakward position too!

The own Nelsinho have recognized that he talked about the incident for causing damage to Flavio. He damaged him. He didn’t suffer any kind of punishment. If you give to him apologies and money, you’re animating others to do the same that he did. He doesn’t deserve anything but shame for what he did. That’s all for me.
I believe Renault has paid him to avoid a long trial and what that supposes in terms of bad publicity. In my opinion Renault didn’t know what Flavio and the rest were doing so why have them to pay to an ex-employee that betrayed them.
