It's interesting that, so far, Ferrari fans accept this and make light of it. Contrast that to the reaction of the McLaren fans and Alonso's waving his hands a couple of times at Petrov. Perhaps Fernando should have stopped his car and thrown some equipment around and then yelled expletives at the crowd. :whip:

Are you kidding?? This is Lewis being a kid off track and not acting his age. You're comparing this to unsportsmanlike conduct on track by an arrogant loser? What do you watch F1 for, to follow these guys private lives or to watch their talent and conduct on track? I'm for the latter, and if Alonso even cheats on his wife or becomes another Tiger Woods, I wouldn't take the trouble to open up a new thread about it. Because its not our business!

For the record, I dont care how many women Woods was with, he's still cool with me. Because he didn't misbehave on the golf course. But it would've made life a hell of a lot easier if he wasn't found out. :hehe:

Do I dare to ask you what you think about MM's extracurricular escapades?

I think its more the way Lewis was speaking then the F-bomb, i dont get why he spoke like hed witnessed the gang killing of his father on the mean streets of Harlem, your a F1 champ from stevenage, i think my hatred (yes it goes that far) of people that speak in such a poor way, that really doesnt relate to their respective upbringing, i want to scream, Lewis is educated, when he speaks like this i cant help ut loose yet more (ive lost a bit this season with his off track endeavours and his still making rookie mistakes) respoect for him, i seriously thouht about forgetting about him and moving onto Kobayashi, now you need to know how big a fan i am/was of Hamilton to know how big that is. But seriously. I understand that he is actually black, so how he was writing on twitter is culturally how many black people around teh world speak, but cmon, he didnt grow up in a ghetto. Hes language in interviews cant be faked, he clearly knows better, and yet he chooses to speak like that given the option to. Dont want to sound stereotypicaly or speak in generalisations but the story in his autobiography about being kicked outta school for a while for "being in the school toilets and merely witnessing a pupils beating" really makes me think twice about him, maybe he did take part in that attack, hes certainly acting like it. I guess im just going to have to support Lewis solely as a driver now, cause his TRUE personality sucks balls, his PR personality was getting better and better, but his twitter account. Fail. Get a bloody manager kid before you ruin yourself.

I dont imagine lewis gives a "feck" what you think He's a racing driver not an English teacher. And as you point out, when he needs to he can turn on the public voice.

I'm no great fan of Hamilton but seriously what does his background or the way he talks or tweets has to do with this? :banghead:

The point that the OP was trying to make is the different treatment Hamilton gets compared to Alonso on this forum.

Let's face it, when Alonso gets mocked for his unibrow by many people on this forum who claim to be just and fair, I don't think that's really fair!

I bet that if you went to a Spanish speaking F1 forum, it'll be the reverse, you'd find a lot of Hamilton hate, An English speaking board will definitely be more pro-Lewis, me personally I dislike both Hamilton and Alonso but I appreciate their talent as drivers!

Yes, and they are just as wrong. However, we are not on those site, but we are here. Therefore Factman is right (IMO) to point it out.

Why do people get so heated about words on a computer screen? Swearing is rife in modern society, we all accept that but when a famous name says it on the Internet, it's like the worse thing ever! Can we move along now? There are far more important issues to get upset about around the world!!!

... and yet i get a warning for using the "censored" emoticon.

The Spaniards are far worse in comparison the hate Alonso gets here is tame! Far as I'm concerned accept it or go learn Spanish and post there in the Alonso love fest!

I agree with you 100%.

So if on some Spanish speaking forum, people are mean to Hamilton, does that justify attacking Alosno in here?
I don't know why common sense escapes some people. It's common sense people :banghead:

So let me get this right, if on some Spanish speaking forum people berate Hamilton, does it mean that I can do the same to Hamilton on this forum? Just asking because next time he says something stupid and I say something mean about LH, please do not attack me. I have my justification.

Remember this quote: "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." It's not because they are mean we have to be the same.

Yes, Fact man is correct but I am just making the point that different forums will have different slants towards one driver/team or another. To be honest I believe this forum to be one of the better forums, we have fans of all drivers and teams on here, also a good international demographic!

I cant understand why everyone's getting their knickers in a twist over this
Me: I dont like Alonso, nothing to do with his eyebrows (i may or may not have commented on them in the past, just as i may or may not have commented on the physical attributes of other drivers). I dislike his attitude, his arrogance, his poor sportsmanship, his disregard for his fellow commpetitors and his disregard for rules.

I like Lewis. I dont see him as some perfect God, he makes mistakes and gets things wrong; but generally I like how he goes about things, love to watch him race and the way he wants to win by being the best (and not by any method).........But thats just me. I dislike Alonso, not his supporters. Some people find this distinction difficult to make.

This is an F1 forum and there are going to be different views, support and loyalties. If you cant cope with that stop posting on here and join an Alonso or a Lewis fanclub instead.
