Vettel still can't overtake. Then again neither can Matt Neal but he still won 2 BTCC titles.

:hehe: Is Vettel the F1 People's Champ though?!

Simply amazing, nobody would have guested at the begging of the season he would win, nobody would have thought that he would have won after all the accidents, but he did!!!!!!

Red Bull Racing #1

I did. :wavey:

Haven't you seen? I've been going on about it all year. In the process I pissed off everyone on this forum, and nothing is better than this sweet victory, because I get to say "I told you so!"

Vettel is one of the greatest drivers we'll ever have the privilege of watching. He is very very fast, as his qualifying suggests. That's why I liken him to Senna - the ability to be super-fast and qualify on pole at most races, but not gurunteed to finish the race in first.

Hamilton and Vettel are the future of the sport. We now have the amazing drivers, similar to late 80s that we've always wanted. Vettel, speed demon. Hamilton, entertainer. Alonso, machine. Kubica, out performs his car. Kobayashi, - Banzai Overtaking freak.

I think first he needs some run-ins with Rob Collard or someone who is as prone to crashing... hmmm he's had a run in with Liuzzi who's become a bit of a crasher lately.

Big Azza, Me and the RBR team were the only ones that though it at the begining of the season.

Vettel still can't overtake

That might be true but you dont need to overtake when you are always Q1. JK

I'm really glad Vettel won.
It would have been wonderful for Webber to win this year. He's a top guy and all. But in terms of speed, not so much. I hate (really hate) to say it, but Webber had the fastest and most reliable car on the grid. Not a single race mechanical failure all year. Whilst Vettel lost 3 wins due to reliability. I just felt there was some weekends where Mark wasn't there. Like the first race in Bahrain, Hockienhim, and finally Abu Dhabi.

Vettel we all know. Not the best overtaker. I think clumbsy is the word. But what he's best at is starting from pole, and leading from start to finish, and boy does he do it better than anyone. 10 pole positions. Almost never off the pace. The last 4 races are why Vettel won this championship. It should've been a perfect run of 4 wins, but there was Korea. Still, all credit to him that he won it despite that.

Everytime I read posts like these it brings tears to my eyes! :)

Apart from Canaada, Monaco, Catalunya, Monza and Singapore, Vettel has always looked certain to win at every race. He'd always qualify super-fast, or he'd be racing super fast. But in every race something has happened to him, either from his own doing or a Mechanical failure, or a poor strategy call. If he could minimalize such events from happening, he could have won 12 races this year.

I think in the future we will see him pull of a season where he does something crazy like that.

If you go around saying that it'll probably only exacerbate the issue of you pissing everyone off! :nono::hehe::)
