It was a racing incident but no harm in discussing it eh??

The article does not want to simply discuss it. The article wants to put the blame on a driver 2 positions ahead.

Now, let's hope Alonso can work his magic and get Vettel to squeeze Hamilton as well in Singapore. Should be easier than Massa...

You've read the article?? then Im suprised at your analysis  you've missed the point. No way does Hughes put any blame on anyone, he's analysing the top 5 drivers skills and comes out on no-ones side.

Why oh why are you Brits so supportive of your narrow minded rag tongue waggers when it only suits your opinion?

Actually, I didnt read the article. So perhaps because of that i didnt quite get your point, by only considering the small bit you posted... but in any case, some of the stuff he writes sounds like sci-fi to me...

I got to be honest though, I dont read much motorsports media.

What i think iof the incident... Alonso is a very good blocker. But that move in particular, probably had more to do with lewis being pissed off about his Fduct hiccup and going for a gap that wasnt there....

Yes, I agree. Think how much you can see in your own car's door mirrors and then scale that down to F1 car mirrors. No way could Alonso have seen enough to make that sort of judgment and then act on it in a split second.

This is old news, it's pointess even talking about it. Lewis has already said it was his mistake.

All he had to do was sit tight and take massa a few laps later.

s*** happens and now we find ourselves with a true battle of the fastest three drivers in F1.

Eveyone should move on.

WHAT??? "you Brits"?? A collective "you" ?? :nono:
And I dont always agree with Hughes' opinion as a matter of fact, though I respect his technical knowledge, which is mighty. I took a part of his article out of context....and I said thats what Id done from the off. Read my first post again. Dont call a respected motorsport writer "a narrow minded rag tongue wagger" until you've actually read something he's written.

On the actual incident. Yes it was Lewis' mistake. I think thats agreed by everyone.

Wasn't Hughes also the guy who wrote last year, sometime in Europe I think, that Rubens was beating Jenson? And, if I'm not mistaken, at the start of the year, he said BMW, Toyota and Ferrari were the teams to beat in '09?

HELL OF ALOT of people expect a big season from bmw, he wasn't wrong about toyota they were super fast but with the wrong drivers, and well ferrari .... if they had massa they would have regained there form much faster he wasn't doing bad pre crash was he.

whole thing is just speculation and rumours though isn't it .

He may have been, he writes an article in autospot every week but I cant remember them all. Nigel Roebuck used to be my favourite F1 writer (now his opinions I ususlly did agree with),but he doesnt write for autosport any more and Hughes is now my favourite. His articles are always good articles. DC writes as well but his articles are generally a bit bland.
