Seeing as there is 5 whole seconds between a full & empty tank, we really can't read anything into the times. Yet. I reckon at the 10-13th of February tests we'll have a much better view on things. But even then, some teams will be sandbagging.

Buemi, 6 seconds down.
Doing well

Hahaha!

Has anybody noticed that the R30 is basically the R29?

Yeah i noticed that too. I think i read somewhere that they will be adding new parts practically every day. They had new front & rear wings today alone.

I was thinking, surely the fuel tank would be wayyyyy too small in its current state? And if it isn't too small - then they have managed to create a car that has a much much shorter wheelbase than the others. Wouldn't this be a pretty big advantage?

Depends. First on whether or not they've done it and second on whether or not the slight modifications they've made to the R29 actually improved it significantly. It was more than a little rubbish - even Alonso couldn't make it quick. The biggest advantage will be had at Monaco, but I suspect that even if they have managed to develop the shortest wheelbase, the other cars are likely to be lightyears more advanced in other areas and counteract the advantage most of the time.

You can't really read into anything with the times today, however it is nice to see Massa has got back into his stride pretty swiftly.
