Yeah, but with the right backing surely they would be able to turn up to every grand prix anyway? I'd like to see a list of who else was interested in Campos.

I guess you have to admire Stefan's persistence - But i'd still prefer a 'stable' Campos team to a re-hashed Toyota any day.

Senna better get a seat or i will properly explode. Why can't campos get backing from someone else instead? I thought there were a few parties looking to buy them?

I have a pretty good guess why they can't get anybody else. Consider the following:

Texeira has a history of getting entangled in failed enterprises (A1GP)

Campos have very little money

Campos Meta 1 was formed as a team to run under the budget cap

Campos have shown no evidence of actually having set up a Formula 1 team - compare with USF1 who have shown parts & staff, Virgin who are showing their car tomorrow & Lotus who have well-known existing F1 talent on hand

Why is nobody else interested you ask? Because there's no team worth a damn to buy into.

Also, I have heard (i think from James Allen, either him or Autosport) that the powers that be are incredibly unhappy about the involvement of Texeira. Bernie, Jean & Co. do not want him in F1

Can't really blame them though. Texeira is a douche.

Touché.

To be fair though, just because they haven't made a huge fuss about showing people their factory etc doesn't mean they haven't been working on the car. USF1's workshop consists of, by the looks of it, one guy in front of a mac, with a picture of an F1 car blu-tacked onto the wall. But yeah, i know where you're coming from. If i had 50 mil to spare, i probably wouldn't take them on. Ugh i really hope they find a new buyer, or at least release Senna to race with another team.

Apparently they're testing 2 drivers this month - Bourdais is one, and the other... i can't even bring myself to say his name!

Indeed, he's almost as bad as that Donington con-artist.

Stefan GP must know something though i mean the shear cost of shipping the equipment and getting staff there to not race would put any team off

maybe because they have the golden ticket of an F1 entry

So that's how the FIA chose the entrants for this year's Championship, they gave potential teams a load of chocolate bars and waited for the Golden Tickets to be found... that must be why ProDrive never got a look in as well.. they couldn't find it.

:P

USF1 is on shaker ground than campos at least campos has got something to crash test.....

What do you mean? USF1 have bits undergoing crash tests as well. As far as I know they've passed at least one already.
