Erm... in 2009 I:

Got my ideal job.
Got financially into a position where I can rent a flat on my own instead of sharing.
Met some ace people on this forum.
Watched Jenson Button become world champion :cloud9:

Hmm, on the less positive side, like 7up, I'm still single, but unlike 7up I'm not too stressed about it. These things happen when you least expect it (I'm sure Alex and Han would agree with that :P ) - and being in a relationship has its downsides as well as its upsides!

Anyway, enough philosophising from me. :D

Here's to 2010 - hope you all have a great one!! :)

Def agree Juliet, I certainly never knew that would happen :) but it just shows that there is someone out there for everyone and you may meet that person when you least expect it- like I did.

The reason why I get so stressed about it because I've been single for years and years and years and years and years - whilst others just get the luck of the devil. Now that I'm living on my own for most of the year, it gets lonely for me. :(

Even if I manage to get out and see friends.

Sorry Jonny, I didn't mean in any way to downplay your situation. I suppose the point I was trying to make is that sometimes if you worry too much about something it almost works against you - you're so anxious for something to happen that when an opportunity does arise you're too wound up to make the most of it.

Personally, I met my ex just after I'd decided to stop stressing about finding someone - could be a coincidence, but I always feel that I was in a better frame of mind to meet someone because I was more relaxed about it all!

Green Day has been my favorite band since I was in 4th grade. I am so jealous that you got to see them! I've been waiting for 6 years :( One day I have to see them!

The only band I've ever been to see. Definitely worth it when you can  Support bands weren't bad either (Jimmy Eat World  )

2009 has been stressful for me. At work, I constantly feel like I'm right on the edge - I'm either going to have a whole shed load of success or it's all going to tumble into the abyss. For 2010, I hope that it is going to be a lot less stressful and a lot more productive and profitable!

I lost my beloved Tom which broke my heart (bad year for this as I know several of us here had this :( ). Had two cats dumped on me who are nice, but are driving me up the wall. They chew absolutely everything (my handbag, my shoes, the Christmas tree, Xmas presents, decorations, the stairs, the doors......ARGH :banghead: ) - it's like having a pair of toddlers in the house.

On the plus side, I moved to a lovely house in the countryside in a pretty, friendly village. I also bought one of my all-time dream cars.

So....2009: A bit of a mixed bag for me.

So, you like tiramisu then? Must be in the genes...

:hehe: I actually don't have it a lot, probably about 2 or 3 times a year, when I happen to dine out and have room for dessert.

Don't worry! Things will work out. That person just hasn't come yet, but they will, I'm sure :)

Every time I talk to someone who went to a Green Day concert, they tell me it was amazing. Grrrr :(
As for your job, I hope everything works out!
Sorry about Tom :(

Was a good year for me overall with lots of positive changes career wise and family wise. Got back into the dating game although I have not hit a homerun yet atleast I'm not sitting on the bench anymore :hehe: .

2009 was also a great year for the forum overall even though a few of our valued and highly regarded members chose to take a leave :( .

That was my old car (Lotus Exige). Loved it to pieces but it was getting a bit leggy so I sold it and bought a Morgan Aero 8 (the non-cross-eyed one ;) )

Love it. It's totally bonkers - both in looks and performance - which is exactly what I was after. It looks miles better in the flesh than in pictures - it always looks slightly odd when photographed. Taken me two years to finally bite the bullet and buy one and my only regret is I didn't buy one sooner!

I'm currently on the look out for a flying hat + goggles (a la Biggles) for me and a Viking hat for my OH :hehe:

things do happen when you least expect them! too true!

my year is opposite to yours, not single any more, but want to be financially stable and have a job i like/want..
hoping to rectify that to some extent this year.. right now money is more important than having a job i like
