if the usa getting no respect in f1 is what makes it an f1 fact. Well as far as I'm aware the usa has very little involvement in f1 so what are we supposed to respect the nation for. Also most respect tends to go to drivers, teams etc not to the whole damn country.
Aintree, now better known for running the Grand National is Britain's only purpose built race track and it remains in its entirity.
I'm not sure that's entirely true sadly. I used to go to sprint meetings there and a full lap of the old Grand Prix circuit is no longer possible. I heard a while ago that the new grandstand has meant the loss of what would have been the start/finish straight. Also doesn't Brooklands count as a purpose built racetrack?
