Why GP2 tyres? Schumacher used F1 tyres when he tested didnt' he?

No he didn't on the grounds he wasnt allowed

So it would be tragic for his self confidence and future in F1 to have a poor race at Abu Dhabi, and yet the countless poor races he has overcome mean nothing??

if he wants to race, and the team wants to put him in the F60 be it for a race or for whatever... go for it.
He has a poor race, its not the end of the world. Everyone knows its under tough circumstances.
....It couldnt possibly be worse than Silverstone 08

well if he sees a bird overhead he's going to duck and miss a corner or something. I hope he not too traumatised by that incident. it would be a real pity.

Mika Hakkinen came back from a lot worse, his heart stopped twice at track side and he had to have an emergency Tracheotomy.

If Massa is traumatised by a low flying pigeon it would be more than "a real pity".

anyway I think he's just saying they don't want the fia to go back to itself after 2012. Stuff needs improving though, he's talked about the failure of the OWG before.

yes and i think its time F1 gets a complete overhaul. rules changes to fast. everybody's hands gets tied so that there no more real competition. everybody uses same tyres. we moving towards A1GP and that sucks.

If you watch F1 because of driver support, the A1GP idea is great. The trouble is all the good drivers are in F1 instead.

It's always been that way though hasn't it? Minor rule changes more or less every year, with a big overhaul every decade or so.

Hardly a surprise now though is it.
In all honesty its probably for the best, just because he can see doesn't mean he is fit to race, Having an extended period in which to recuperate will undoubtedly be better for him in the long run.
