Raikkonen's (and to a lesser degree, Sutil's) race pace was better. The main reason that Lewis made it further up the field than Kimi was that Kimi started on the softer tyres and lost ground.

Yeah thats what I was thinking!!!Good strategy, I predicted that was Lewis' best option Smug git arent i!

Kimi would have ended up in a better position than Lewis, but Kimi battled the fwd pack and even got hit. Lewis made up positions because the ones in front of him DNF'd and got penalised, he never battled the top half of the field. Doesn't mean #1 didnt drive a great race, but let's not overhype the chap now :)

Yeh he did overtake 8 people tho only glock matched that.

I think the Mclaren is underated because of the problem in qualy also i think its faster than the Renault at least.

Lewis is defo faster than Massa in the Ferrari but point taken about Kimi

we'll see what happens next race....new parts i hope

Firstly, when Massa came out beside Lewis. Lewis had been out for a while, Massa was on cold tyres and a heavy fuel load. Of course he wasn't gonna take him first corner. Then after Massa had a steering probelm which eventually caused his retirement. If there was no probelm with the car Massa would've been past.

Ferrari where clearly faster in Quali, then in the race the best time Lewis set was 1:29.020 compared to the 1:28.488 set by Kimi. McLaren are clearly far behind.

Also, the strategy that Lewis Massa Kimi and Kubica used was the wrong one. But it did work because of the safety car. Those cars that started on softs were fast but then lost serious times due to graining. Pitted earily this lost them serious time compared to the front runners. But then the safety car came out which thus negated that loss in time. Thats the only reason Kubica was able to challenge at the end of the race. If there was no safety car, he would've been too far behind by the end of the race. Lewis in the same sense was lucky that the first stint didn't cost him. Still a good drive, but with most great drivers there is a factor of luck.

Yeh but massa could only do a 1:29.141 during the race

Lewis did a 1:29.020

Because Massa retired. As the GP goes on the track gets more rubbered and lap times pick up. Massa would've done a much better lap time had he continued the race.

Also, Lewis' time was slower than both Force India's. Does that make McLaren slower than Force India.

Lewis came out of the pits beside massa and still beat him and stayed ahead with cold tires.
