So glad for the Brawn team, its about time we had another team getting wins in.

I was also impressed with Buemi, looks like Bourdais has got another season of being outclassed by his team mate to look forward to.

He started 4 places behind Buemi and finished right behind him. Besides its only the first race of the season how can you make a judgement such as that?

Pity for Kubica and Vettel... Little Sebastian seems to be on the right path of becoming new MS attitude-wise (you don't over take me... ever!) but I still like him. For now. Kubica, well, he hardly did best possible job in that overtake attempt... guess they both got deserved.

I like how you can come to that conclusion from one overtaking maneuver. Also, he was on the racing line... What else was he meant to do, move over onto the grass? Not that I'm saying it was just Kubica's fault.
Sorry.. don't meant to come over all moody and defensive. I'm still so annoyed about this lol.

It is not conclusion, more like impression. Likely wrong, but we'll see.

Kubica was bullish in this overtake, but then again we have seen bullish overtaking (or defending) from Lewis, Massa... others... last year, and years before. They usually ended happily as other driver would slow down or cut to the grass. I think that would be smart thing to do from Vettel, being slower and having very sloppy turn thus loosing his momentum.

Oh yeah, I'm not saying that Kubica is unique in his approach, and I don't blame him for trying at all, it was just the way he tried. Vettel had the line, Kubica wasn't yet passed him... SV probably should have braked, but Kubica defiantly shouldn't have turned into him. Like I keep saying, RK could have waited and got past cleanly in another corner.
Vettel was boxed in. If he had braked, the collision would have been worse. Kubica was 100% responsible. Trust me, I've been there. You simply can't make that type of move on the apex. It was suicide!

Excellent and composed race from Button in spite of a couple of dodgy stops from his team. His win here in many ways completely mirrored Hamilton's win here last year, pulling out a lead, having it closed by a safety car, having to start again from scratch, build up another lead then yet again have it taken away by another safety car. To keep his head amongst all of that whilst also having that low level sun in his eyes lap after lap towards the end showed mature and level headed driving. He deserved it, no question.

What has to be said has been said about Jenson's performance.

So well done Jenson enjoy the moment.

Before the stewards take it away...

Button drove a very good race today, particularly dealing with the pressure very well. There were no rash moves, screw ups at the start and restart. BMW claim they could have won, and perhaps they could have, but only because Button took it easy throughout the first 90% race, leaving himself open to attack in the closing stages on the softer tyres. Brawn will no doubt learn from that.

Jenson earned himself a well-deserved win but Barichello? :censored: he did not win that? The beginning of the race proved he should have been back backing while JB takes the lead? Waking the drivers should have been a Black Flag? but :bs: he didn't!!!! Vettel should have got the win so I am very disappointed by the out come of the race!!! Lets hope round 2 will be a fairer race or I’m shipping to Indy :banghead:

I'm sorry, but I don't understand any of that except "Jenson earned himself a well-deserved win".

Rubens did nothing wrong, he just made a couple of driving errors and underestimated a couple of things. Your issue with it seems to be the fact that it was Kimi that he made contact with, not the fact that he made contact with someone. Black-flagging a driver for non-incidents is ridiculous. Handing out any kind of penalty (or even investigating them) is just as silly.
