It's a fair point, it's not like we haven't seen "We're actually at the front now!!" Toyota before.

I'm not predicting any race results, because that would be mad, but here's how I think the balance between team-mates will look:

Hamilton = Kovalainen
Massa = Raikkonen
Kubica < Heidfeld
Alonso > Piquet
Trulli < Glock
Bourdais > Buemi
Webber = Vettel
Rosberg > Nakajima
Fisichella > Sutil
Button <= Barrichello

This is, of course, assuming that there are no major car-driver mismatches like last year (Heidfeld, Raikkonen, Kovalainen).

No way MW = SV! :yikes: I fully expect SV to beat MW over the entire season :director:

I think Webber will have a (slight) edge in qualifying and his experience may help him out.

7/10 aint bad :hehe:

Hamilton > Kovalainen
Kubica > Heidfeld
Webber < Vettel

Also Trulli < Glock remains to be seen

Right, here's my best attempt considering I'm oblivious to much of the testing!

Q1; Massa
Q2; Alonso
Q3; Raikkonen
Q4; Barrichello
Q5; Kubica
Q6; Hamilton
Q7; Button
Q8; Trulli
Q9; Heidfeld
Q10; Vettel

R1; Alonso
R2; Raikkonen
R3; Button
R4; Kubica
R5; Hamilton
R6; Trulli
R7; Heidfeld
R8; Kovalinen

Something will happen to Massa because I've got a neat wedge on him.

My first post here, so what's better than start with an impossible prediction of the seasons opener. But here it comes:

Qualifications:
1. Massa
2. Alonso
3. Raikkonen
4. Barichello
5. Kubica
6. Button
7. Heidfeld
8. Hamilton
9. Vettel
10. Rosberg

Race
1. Alonso
2. Raikkonen
3. Kubica
4. Vettel
5. Heidfeld
6. Hamilton
7. Rosberg
8. Barrichello

I’m betting Alonso to continue from where he ended last season. Now that he has been involved in developing Renault to suit his style.
Both Ferrari’s will be on top too, and I’m betting on Kimi to come back more motivated and mature than ever before. But it’s going to be a tough call between the ferrari’s and with a bit of luck or bad luck it to either side, it can turn any way (hence guess that one of them DNF in Melbourne, this time Massa ). Maclaren’s will have a tough beginning of the season, so no podiums at least in Melbourne or Sepang. Brawn might be fast in qualifying, but not going to make same results in the actual race. Kubica will be in top fight again for the whole season, and if consistent enough can win this time, but as said I’d still put my money on Alonso, he's got the whole team behind him.

I'd go a bit differently:
Hamilton > Kovalainen
Massa <= Raikkonen
Kubica > Heidfeld
Alonso >> Piquet
Trulli < Glock
Bourdais > Buemi
Webber < Vettel
Rosberg >> Nakajima
Fisichella > Sutil
Button < Barrichello

So the closest battle will be at Ferrari, all the other ones I expect to be more clear victories by the end of the season. Of course with bad luck and unreliable car the championship points can be quite even.

Are you predicting Massa will not finish in the top 8 or even at all?

At all, if the question was for me. I'm just guessing that only one Ferrari will finish and it is 50-50 which one, so picked up Massa. and I got money on this mate, so I hope I get it correctly (nothing against massa). That would give me some extra spending money in Sepang the week after. :drink:

Again, I can't predict it. Not after the preseason testing, the diffuser issues - and we've forgotten about Reliability?
