This would be a very odd season to choose as one to avoid because it's going to go all wrong for McLaren. They look to be in good shape, Lewis has a championship behind him, and the technical team seems good. If the likely performance of the team is a factor in Ron moving aside, then it would, I think, be because the team is in good shape and has a good prognosis for this year, rather than bad. Assuming that's a factor that is.
