He wont go. Despite what is sometimes said of him i believe he is truely grateful and loyal to McLaren. He is a guy whose family means the world to him, its where he takes refuge when morons take hits at him and he always includes Mclaren when he says (paraphrased of course) "f*** them, I do what I do for my family, my team and my country." He is more than just a McLaren driver. Also money is definately not his driving factor sweet tho it must be, success is. I might be wrong, I'm human! But i think success in a McLaren will be sweeter than success anywhere else. :)

Jeeez racechick... that was a whole gospel! :D

He might be loyal to McLaren, but as you said he is (looks like) the guy whose family means the world to him, and it is not necessarily that all of his family is loyal to McLaren as well... so if McLaren goes down with form (say Mercedes withdraws from F1) and Lewis is advised by his, er, manager to switch to Ferrari, BMW or any other prospering team - what would he do?

In an ideal world, I think Hamilton would stay at McLaren. In reality, though, if the team's form declined, he would move elsewhere. He and his father have already shown in the past that they are prepared to leave McLaren if things don't go their way.

Not such a "gospel" as some on here write :D

Well Id like to think hed stick it out with McLaren and I cant imagine McLaren sinking to such depths but who knows. If McLaren did sink down there then he'd have chance to bring them back. Some folk think he needs to do that. All too much speculation anyway. Too many unknowns

Hamilton needs a bit more experience before he goes to Ferrari, McLaren are an excellent training ground for the Scuderia...

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: More experience? He just beat them in his second year!

Hamilton doesnt need ferrari!

Yeh if anything the pracing donkeys would slow him down.

I remember Piquet senior once had a bit of a rant at a journalist for assuming "every driver's dream is to drive for Ferrari" when he got asked "when will you complete your dream move to Ferrari?".

So Piquet wasn't all bad then? You learn something new everyday...

But really it's a career. Never say never but if McLaren went into the shitter for a few years, he'd be off. Just like McLaren wouldn't exactly hang onto Lewis should his left leg drop off. Business, not charity. My guess is he stays at McLaren for the majority of his career or all of it if McLaren is competitive.

Lewis has just said he wants to stay at McLaren until he retires. Ferrari isnt the end all for an F1 driver. Senna never went there and that didnt harm his reputation as an all time great!

Senna would of eventually gone to Ferrari had he not left us so early. He even said that one day he wanted to finish off his carreer at Ferrari. Lewis Hamilton going to Ferrari. By the time Kimi and Massa leave, Ferrari would have better options such as Vettel, Alonso or Kubica to look at. I would prefer in order, Vettel, Alonso and then Kubica. But f Lewis Hamilton went to Ferrari, for himself, he would be remembered as an even greater world champion if he won for Ferrari. At the end of the day McLaren is nothing more than an average name. Just like Ford and GM. Ferrari is the stuff of legend. Just as Alonso put it not long ago and that winning for Ferrari which is big part of F1 history would make anyone that wins for them a big part of F1 history. Why do you think Michael Schumacher is so great........ :D

Everyone who wants to be big needs Ferrari. Just ask Alonso who really, really wants to go there. Remember McLaren is an average name. Ferrari is legendary. Anthony Hamilton knows it and so do you...................:yes::D

He scored the most driver points, they still won the constructors. Let me guess, you don't know about the constructors championship, because it doesn't involve Lewis...

I know about it  But the drivers is the more prestigious prize. Ferrari may have won the constructors but lewis obviously managed to win the drivers without a Ferrari underneath him. :D

The constructors is more important. People who know little about F1 will say the drivers is more important as the media makes out it to be more important. But as far as F1 and the teams are concerned, the constructors is more important. And Ferrari are the CURRENT CHAMPIONS AGAIN. And for the 7th time this decade!!!!!!!!!! YEAH CAMON!!!!!!!!!! Beat that record!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7 titles in 9 years and if we win again next season it will be 8 in 10 years. Already I cant see anyone beaten our record. Just like no one will ever beat Michael Schumacher's record.....
