What was hamilton supposed to do ? slow down and trundle along becasue alonso had backed off the pace ?
he just kept going, you never know what a few extra seconds might do when the stewards decide the race outcome later on

Actually Lewis had no chance at scoring point's so the pass was not needed but hey he is a racer so I do understand the move.

If cars were found to be illegal or something during scrutineering, Hamilton would not have been able to get any points if he were a lap down. Therefore, there was every reason to unlap himself.

Well that does make sense mate, far fetched, but applicable.

The chances are slim of it happening, granted, but if you're not in, you can't win as it were. It's a pretty small thing to do, so it was worth Hamilton doing it.

Yes sir you are correct because the 'fat lady' has not sung until all post-race scrutineering has been done.

The move was unecessary .. in the end of the race, just because a lap behind .. his proud is messing with him ... whe he learn to process things in her mind, and accept some situations, he would deserve to win a title. For now, he is only a good driver, who makes great shows some times ..

But is moments like these we have to remember when thinking about F1:

Had he made it as high as ninth, he would've managed an extra point thanks to Bourdais' penalty. It worked for Webber. He didn't have to unlap himself, but he earned an extra point. If he'd been lapped, he wouldn't have scored it.
