this is the most disgusted i've ever been with the fia. I found out about this 15 mins ago and I can't stop punching my pillow at the injustice. Despicable. If he never gets a Spa win because of the decision of corrupt politicians...arrrgh. Just despicable.

What are the chances of a successful appeal?

Two weeks ago I watched Massa carry out a dangerous manouevre in the pits. He received no penalty. Well he is a Ferrari Driver!!Today I watched Lewis Hamilton win the Belgian Grand Prix with a superb display of driving. I've just heard that due to an incident with Raikonnen, which I watched with millions of other people and I personally could see nowt wrong with it they are racing after all aren't they, I digress, Lewis has been stripped of his win. Well he isn't a Ferrari Driver!!The whole thing stinks.

You also watched several other races this season where drivers were released in a manner that I would deem as unsafe as Massa's incident, yet they went unpunished. So that point is somewhat invalid. However, he has been stripped of a victory without justification, and in that I completely agree with you.

An ex Formula One Fan

That's what I'm worrying about. I was watching the race with two or three people today who are not Formula One fans. They were impressed with what they saw, but after the injustice we witnessed today, they say they're not interested in watching sports that are fixed. From my own point of view, once again I am questioning why I watch Formula One.

Typical Ferrari, behaving like a spoilt child as always. Lewis let Kimi pass and then overtook legally after short cutting the chicane!!!!!!!!!!! Ferrari are just all bad losers and pay the FIA obviously well. IF you don´t like the heat get out of the kitchen!!!! :nono:

The FIA are the most corrupt organization I think this planet has ever seen. I am tired of seeing this time and time again and the only way it is going to stop is a mass boycott by fans of the "sport". Clear minded Ferrari fans must also be involved because once those SOB's at the FIA see that their main revenue stream is diminishing sponsors will respond. It cannot continue!! :banghead::thumbdown:

Mclaren are now appealing Hamilton's penalty. I hope the FIA now see sense and give him back his win and stop trying to ruin the sport.

As they should because the penalty, strictly imo, is a farce. Man I was hoping this season would just be racing and not another political battlefield? :(

This is the same FIA that thinks Max Moseley is doing a good job as president we are talking about. I am not holding my breath

wen Hamilton did that move he definitely gained time, this put him in a position to overtake Kimi, if he hadn't of cut the grass and overtook kimi, maybe kimi wouldn't of been pressured into a mistake.
wen kimi crashed i was shattered, i had given up on F1. than i was saying to dad that he only won coz he cheated past kimi, as the race is always delayed here i always check the internet to see if some1 got disqualified. so in the space of 2 minutes i was in love with F1 again .
Just remember McLaren fans, the FIA could of easily disqualified McLaren last year but now have lost their patience

It will be interesting to see how McLaren's appeal goes. As you can see from what's been posted on this forum, there has been a lot of backlash about this. If Ecclestone and the FIA realise that a lot of people will be changing channel when Formula One is on, they may be forced to reverse this crazy decision.
