You know what i don't get? It's that why, if Bernie Ecclestone wants to promote F1 in literally every corner of the globe, isn't there a GP somewhere in Africa? Basically what i'm saying is why was the South Africa GP dropped for example - sorry send the thread off on a tangent.

I don´t know. I liked the South African GP but maybe others did not or the organisers had an argument with bernie , it only ran for 2 seasons.

Anyway , does anyone think that we will ever see the san Marino gp come back?

Bernie doesnt want to promote F1 in all continents his only reasoning for having GPs in various markets is the ching ching he gets out of it!!

So the answer is the FIA to be more commercially involved. Max won't be president forever and Bernie has too much power so FIA and FOM should be 50/50 on the commercial side

Well I think the answer for that is simply that half of Africa is in some sort of political turmoil and even the stable countries are pretty much dirt poor. Its clear that what Bernie really cares about is having first class VIP facilities to schmooze all the rich phuckers that make up the F1 paddock. Thats why great tracks like Montreal and Spa are in danger. I mean really, the circuit Gilles Villeneuve and SPA for God's sake, their only crime is that the VIPs have to languish under canvas tents instead of the air conditioned luxury-boxes the new tracks feature.

As for the 20 race GP season , that looks great to me. I'm not too keen on a Mexican race though, I'm sure they'd put on a decent race, but I'd rather see some more races in South America. Many South American states are dismantling their dictatorships and electing more progressive governments, Some have decent amounts of money (such as Venezuela) but many such as Chile, Equador, Bolivia and now Paraguay could really benefit from the publicity and exposure not to mention making for affordable GP attendance with very cheap accommodations and
daily expenses. Thats certainly what I liked about Indianapolis, it cost's me literally twice as much to attend the Canadian GP as it did the USGP, even exclusive of airfare. These are things that need to be taken into consideration, IMHO
