Something occurred to me today, it was Rons apology to Hamilton over the radio after the race and I couldn't figure out why he made it as I agree with what either Brundle or Allen said about Hamilton not being able to use the soft tyres for a long last stint so what they did was their only option and the story of not thinking the safety car would be out for long was just to cover up that fact, not that it would've made much difference anyway if it'd come in a lap or two earlier. So the apology, as well as being part of the cover up, was a message to Hamilton letting him know what to say.
I know he is arrogant and cocky but maybe his bad acting skills made it appear even more so.
