They honeymoon period is over, in fact, I'd say it was last season, and the pressure is now on. That's when we see what people are really made off, but it's also a chance for him to learn more and more: the great Samuel Beckett said: 'Try again. Fail again. Fail better.' Whatever happens this season, Hamilton should not get too down-hearted and people should put the blades back in their scabbards (and that goes for other new drivers as well).

I still maintain I'm concerned about whether Hamilton and, to a lesser degree, Kovalainen can develop the MP4-23. The next few races will certainly reveal that. In any case, they're great drivers for the future and McLaren have a lot to look forward to. Remember as well, the team weren't expecting to take a $100,000,000 hit last season.

Yeah Hamilton would have been pretty frustrated at himself at the whole situation he had gotten himself into and let his emotions got to him.
For when you stuff up and end up at the back and start to make your way past slower guys you just feel like telling em to F off get out of my way because you should be higher but youre not and it just pisses you off!
in hindsight yeah waiving your fists is stupid but at the time it just gets to ya :lol: but afterwards im sure Lewis would have felt like an bottom for doing it

I'd say they are missing those too :|
But with Alonso out they don't have to pay up his huge Salary... so there's some savings right there

Well, from what has been shown so far, I think the team is indeed missing Alonso. But I don't think this is necessarily a death sentence for the season, it is still too early to say Lewis / Heikki and the Mclaren team will not be able to get the team back to consistent winning form.

Considering all factors, I'd be NOT surprised to see a final standing in the WCC like this:
1. Ferrari
2. BMW
3. McLaren
