let mercedes take over mclaren with a clean car, renault get a new paint job and win with fernando, and go racing!

Ignorance any F1 fan who would love to see a team of 600 Gps leave the sport is a sad man indeed!

F1 used to be about teams who soley existed for racing for F1, now its mostly manufacture teams who exist to sell road cars.
So by all means continue wishing what you said, then hopefully Williams will follow suit and all that is left of the old firm is Ferrari.

Quite so. There was a time when that was true of McLaren, though now they they're manufacturer-backed, it's not quite the same. Teams like (old) McLaren, Williams, Jordan, Minardi and countless others do have the true racing spirit, and for that they are seen as admirable. And Williams are a true example of how you don't need to be a manufacturer team to win in Formula 1. I would love to see the sport move back to a state where more small teams can enter.

Are you sure about this? What about before the world championship. In the 20s, 30s and 40s when it was teams like Auto Union (Now Audi), Mercedes, Bugatti, Bentley, Alfa Romeo. Maserati etc making GP cars. Are these all not constructors of road cars? This was what GP was originally all about and it looks like its heading back in this direction which is good.

But they had the racing spirit. Some of today's teams (notably, Toyota) are in it to make money, which is not what Formula 1 is about. Well, I don't know...maybe it is these days. Certainly how Ecclestone is making it look.

Relax friend, you are going to make an enemy out of everyone like that. Al4x sees reasoning. Please be nice to him even if he is a Reanult supporter. Renault is good anyway as is Honda and Jensen Button.
