I'm gonna have to agree with that but my following only goes back 24yr's so I cant voice an opinion from personal experience pre-'84. I agree that other team's have just as much passion and support but there is no other team on the current grid that has the history Ferrari has.

I manage to get M99 to understand me, but not you! :) .

I understand you completely but if you will reread the last sentence in my post which you quoted above^ you will see I said "I agree that other team's have just as much passion and support but there is no other team on the current grid that has the history Ferrari has". Thus I was only speaking of HISTORY not passion or fan support.

I'm not talking about passion. All teams have passion for the sport but no team has that mafiosi, stereotypical Italian character that Ferrari have. In similar way McLaren now have a typical British character and, also, the legacy of Bruce McLaren etc. History, to me, implies far more than being the oldest team in the sport, it's about other things: trophies, innovation, involvement in other forms of motor sport etc. Thus, teams like McLaren, Williams, Cooper, and particularly Lotus have a hell of a lot of history behind them.

You say it yourself: it's stereotypical and you fell for it too. Ferrari are as international a team as any other, especially during the recent MS era. And what do you know about the Mafia, huh? I haven't heard of any shady Ferrari gunmen sneaking around in the pit lane and demanding protection money from the other teams to use yet another stereotypy you seem to be so fond of

You are right to say that under Schumacher Ferrari were a team like any other. However, before that era and after that era, Ferrari is mainly an Italian outfit and more like the Ferrari of old. The stereotypes are merely an easy to get that across. Even under Schumacher, Ferrari still maintained a level of Italian culture, doing something as simple as the team members from the mechanics up having a meal together. That's the passion and class that Ferrari have and that other teams perhaps don't. But, as I've said, other teams are different but not inferior and Ferrari don't have a divine right to win. No team does. No team is above the sport.

Brundle hits back, new post on PittPass.com. F1 fans have known for years how corrupt the FIA was, but now the average Joe can read about it in main-stream media like The Sunday Times. We need more ambassadors of the sport of F1 racing to come forward, like former F1 driver Martin Brundle.

All I can say is Brundle for FIA JOB and mad dog Max OUT....:evil:

actually it goes back to who is winning at the time. i think youre too far into all this mystical s*** its blurring your sense of reality like ive said earlier no different to a religious extremist!

its just a car, its just a race its just a sport no mystical workings going on dude ;)

bud you can think what you like & I don’t think I am the one who needs a reality check.
Also I said mystique NOT mystical look it up in the dictionary for the difference mate then you will know what Ferrari have.

And I don’t mean mystique as in:

McLaren fan I think you just lost me again especially with that Mafiosi comment.
I understood that one post mate because it was very level headed, but the last few have deteriorated again.

And Ferrari doesn’t have all those qualities also in bucket loads?
NOT to mention it ALL being done IN HOUSE at MARANELLO from day one. (A great acheivent I would say + also manufacturing the most desirable road cars on the side)
Keep trying McLaren fan, we all accept ALL teams have IT & some more than others but I think FERRARI have IT just that tiny bit more.

Looks like Brundle's case could be interesting. Thanks to McLaren's apology the FIA are asking the WMSC to cancel the probe into their 2008 car. Not so much of a witch hunt now.

There was only a "witch hunt" because the FIA knew McLaren were lying...

Mafiosi? Are we resorting to racial insults now?

There is no way to fight a power crazed corrupt government. McLaren did what they had to do to survive

Ferrari fans on this forum have to endure all sorts of crazy cheating accusations and racial comments from McLaren fans.

But when McLaren is in the wrong it's still Ferrari's fault.

I think you all need to check yourselves into a Loony Bin because you are not normal rational people.
