I personally think that Ferrari is going to dominate next season
and mclaren tries to keep up, but can do nothing about it

I agree. Ferrari: better drivers, better leadership (especially if RB comes back), better pits, better relationship with Bridgestone ( ), better relationship with the FIA ( ) - all this should make up for the deficit in the spying-on-others department and the advantages that comes with that 8)

Better drivers? Lewis is a match for the Ferrari drivers already and he's only a rookie! The second driver is not certain.
Better leadership? If RB doesnt come back then they have the poison dwarf and he's poo.
Better relationship with Bridgestone?- yes they have enjoyed that unfair advantage.
Better relationship with the FIA :lol: Well naturally they've enjoyed that unfair advantage too, thats evident for all to see.
Deficit in the spying on others department? there was no advantage gained, they did nothing that isnt done throughout the pit lane, it was a set up.

Evidently not! He made a couple bloody rookie mistakes when it counted. I'd like to see him in a not so superior car - so far he's only shown he can drive a good car home (most of the time). And depending on who's coming in for FA (who IS a decent driver they'd lose), they'll either be not competitive or they could get into the same political hot water between the two drivers because I'm afraid LH's head has already grown too big for his age with all the brouhaha in his rookie season.

Still good enough to beat Ronnie Densehead - no scandals with the drivers, perfect team strategy when it counted. If RB comes back, I'd be really worried if I was competing against Ferrari.

No answers to the last points then :)
Yes he made a couple of rookie mistakes. Well he is a rookie!A rookie that was under immense pressure. Alonso made far more errors and he;s not one, he's a double world champion!
Kimmi is a seasoned andfast driver and only just beat him! He is the best rookie ever to have entered F!. I presume you didnt watch him race in F2 where the machinary is identical?
Todt better than Dennis! Ha! At what? Running to Max every five minutes?

Rookie making rookie mistakes, thats unheard of! haha
He finished the season ahead of his team mate who happens to have 2 world titles to his belt! that says enough right there regardless of what car he drives!
And how can you suggest that Lewis's next team mate will cause another rift between team mates when the 07 rift was all on Fernando's jealous head?

I think Ron has to finally admit having some sort of pecking order in the team is essential. Even if it's spiritual and not advertised, he needs a squeeky clean 2008 season, similar to what BMW had in 2007.

Naaa they were not that clean - the best way to get rid of germs is to boil not refrigerate!

I voted Kimi. Bias aside i think he will only get stronger this year. There is also the uncertainty of how the TV ban will effect the drivers, i at all. But i think (depending on their cars competitiveness) the same 4 will be fighting the title Kimi coming out on top and Hamilton second.

I voted for Lewis-Suprise suprise  But so did quite a few if you look at the results. I picked Lewis because he has amazing car control and I think he will cope better than many without the traction control. If not him I agree with last poster- Kimmi.

I think that Ferrari have so much influence of the FIA (having Ferrari employees in the FIA helps) that I cannot for the life of me see how any other team can compete with them without some kind of weird thing making their challenge an uphill struggle. Renault tried and had things banned - things that had no contact with the air were banned as movable aero devices! Then Ferrari were allowed things that did interact with the air allowed because they said they were part of the brakes! McLaren tried lost and $100,000,00.

I feel the F1 has turned a corner and is heading down a very dark alleyway in a very bad area of town!

I mean, when a team can call upon its judiciary system to serve another team with court orders during a race weekend to unsettle them - how can you compete?
