Voted Perez. I think he's got a lot of talent for which he hasn't been credited. He'll be hungry after being dumped by mclaren so we'll see some good stuff from him

A lack of sponsors?

probably  although Ferrari dont need sponsors and Hulk would be a lot cheaper than Kimi, and they already had Alonso. Very unlucky with timing I guess

I think Ferrari's pass on the Hulk was more about them wanting to make sure they didn't end in 3rd place in the constructor's next year. (perhaps out of fear for how they saw their 2014 car development?) McLaren's choice was already made for Magnussen, and Red Bull didn't want to make a mockery of their driver training program so Ricciardo was seen as being just about as good perhaps? After that, what other teams that were would have been a step up?

Drive for free at Lotus and possibly not even make the grid? I think this battle will be close but I think Hulkenberg is a better qualifying and subsequently will get better results because of it.

I agree with all that this time around, especialy ferrari needing to hedge their bets with a proven points scorer in Kimi.

However Hulk has had a similar situation for a couple of years now, courted by many Top teams and ultimately selected by none. Not as bad as the whinging Di Resta, but you gotta say, once is a coincidence, twice bad luck, three times a chap needs to consider changing his aftershave or something

I feel badly for Perez!!

No matter what he did at McLaren, Hamilton fans would
never believe Perez could ever fill his shoes!!Image

Poke around in some of the old threads. You'll find most of the ardent Lewis fans were rooting for Checo.

Err...what? I think quite a few Hamilton fans were rooting for him from Day 1 in McLaren and defending him whenever his whinging teammate was complaining about how quick he is.

I think you are wrong. A lot of the Hamilton fans here were backing Perez, and thought he could out-shine Button. Have a read back.

'Hamilton fans' weren't interested in having Hamilton's shoes filled. 'Hamilton fans' were quite happy with the move Lewis chose to make and followed him in his new venture.
Regarding Perez, I believe the overwhelming feeling regarding him from 'Hamilton fans' was one of support. Of course I can only really speak for this particular Hamilton fan, but I was keen to see him succeed and disappointed that his efforts weren't recognised and that he was treated so shabbily.
Regarding hulk and Perez, I rate them both. As I said earlier I think hulk will edge it but I'd actually prefer to see the honours go to Perez, I really like the guy, and I wouldn't be surprised if they did.
