- 11 Dec 13, 09:24#384014There's more to the rule changes. It's not been released yet. It's part two of the driver choosing his own name and is designed to make pitstops clearer and more enjoyable to the casual viewer. The phrase 'BOX, BOX, BOX!' to call a driver into to the pits had been banned. From 2014 onwards drivers have to chose an animals cry, and the engineer uses that to call his man into the pits. Some drivers have already staked a claim on the animal cry they want for next season. It should be stressed that engineers must make the cry realistic and not simply humanise the word. So we have the following.......
Button - Duck. ( quwaaaaark, quwaaaaaaaark, quwaaaaaaark)
Magnesson - Foal. ( neeeeeigh, neeeeeigh, neeeeeeeigh)
Alonso. - cockerel. ( cockdoooooodloooooo, cockadooooooodlooooo)
Kimi - Polar bear. ( grrrrr, grrrrrrr, grrrrrrr)
Hamilton - bulldog (woof, woof, woof)
Rosberg - cockatoo ( pretty Nikki, pretty Nikki)
Vettel - Owl. ( whooooo oooooo, whooooo oooooo)
Ricciardo - kitten ( meow, meow, meow)
Massa - donkey ( eeee aw, eeee aw, eeee aw)
Grosjean - puppy. ( yap, yap, yap)
Maldonado. - hyena ( AHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAH )
Teams not adhering to these new calls will be subject to a drive through, engineers will be expected to practise the call during the drive through.
