Dr. DD, Ph.D. teaching young souls about all kinds of kinky biology :whip:

Hoping for an early retirement in a couple years relying mostly on investment property for income, maybe some part-time teaching where I determine how much I work

And as of yesterday you'd be actually able to afford personal health insurance when you get to that early retirement.

Are you actually young enough to call it 'early retirement'?

After more than 10 years of service, I can retain health insurance through my (former) employer :)

Congratulations, Zurich!!

...Give me an exam or essay etc and I'll fail horribly, but give me some actual work that needs doing and I'll have it done there and then...

I guess I'd fall somewhere in between... hate exams, as I've a memory like a sieve!!
I purposely and purposefully chose courses in university that did NOT include an exam!
I'd rather write a 10-page essay!! :D

Good thing we've all got our strengths and that there are opportunities to shine with them!!

I don't hate exams...can't afford to anyway but I'm not an ace at them. Much prefer courseworks and group work...I find I work well in a group, somehow I feel more motivated to do my part well since I hate the thought of being a free rider. Had a couple of those b**tards during my msc so never want to be them.

I do miss working though. Can't wait to get the exam in December done so I can get back into fulltime again. I find my social circles are stagnant and not really expanding....being unemployed is like being disconnected from the world, and so hard to meet new people (chicks). :(

I've hit a wall guys. I hate my job. We've been working six days a week with a voluntary 7th day if we want the extra OT, which I have done twice in the last three weeks. Our site director told us today that we should expect the same until mid November. This s*** has me burned out so bad. I'm getting paid $13/hr with a degree. Trust me, I'm not ungrateful to have income in this economy. However, I can't stand this $#@!ing job. I'd gladly move down to $11/hr if my old Wendy's fast food job paid that well. I'm entirely sick of capitalism. It is built on the exploitation of people. The CEO getting $26 million bonuses at year's end doesn't work 7 days a week and likely doesn't stand for 9 hours a day like I do. I can't find better in this economy because I have an absolute SH1T degree. I didn't know it was sh1t when I started it 7 years ago. I had a brilliant thought the other day. "I can't find a new job, so I should make one." But I have no idea how to start or business or what I'd even do. I'm hoping for a fatal tire blowout while riding my motorcycle to work one day. Everything can just go black instantly and I won't have to worry about any of this sh1t any more. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

I like drinking and driving/riding fast. Maybe I could invent the drunk driving olympics. I could probably win that. My degree is in justice studies because I wanted to become a cop. I've spent the last three years testing for police departments to no avail. The efforts of my last three years have yielded me a divorce and overwhelming student loan debt that has led to credit card debt from not having a job that affords me enough income to live AND pay my school loans. I'm fairly intelligent but I don't know how to do anything. My degree was all theory and essays. So I can type fast and write reports well. That's about all I'm good at. I'm also really loud and I can drink a lot of alcohol without getting a hangover or doing anything stupid enough to land me in jail.
