DC's scores are almost perfect...except for Lotus which I don't believe is fair to be on par with Mercedes, since Grosjean hasn't been pulling his weight while at Mercedes both drivers have been operating on full cylinders. AND yes, Redbull deserves a 10/10 even though I don't care for them either.

Was his score based on team including drivers? If it were team I think 7 is a good score, in terms of team and drivers if anything Grosjean (inconsistant) is holding them back a bit and maybe they should take a talented Scotsman next year to give Kimi proper backup.

It doesnt make much sense if its a report for this year. If it was a school report how could you give the kid who is alway top of the class and has been for years, but this year has been caught up and is not as dominant as before, how can you give him 10/10

Yet the kid who has struggled before and has this year moved from the middle of the class to the front and overcome some serious learning issues doesnt score 10/10 also?

A report has to be how each participant has grown (learning = improving), how well they have done. And how much better can you do than learning how to write in 1 term, when the others started the term doing it.

Also to be clear, what I have something against is giving RBR a perfect score

The report is given solely on this year's performance which in itself is a flaw in my opinion. Hence, I didn't do that in the OP. If you look at only the year's performance then there's no reason to look at anything but the WCC and WDC standing to base the decisions on and it would make the "report card" irrelevant.

The idea of a report card is silly to begin with since an exact measurement against which you grade does not exist, so what we're left with is a subjective look at each team and an opinion.

So DC's assessment is non binding folks, any more than my assessment is.

Butthurt much? You do realise that he is paid by Merc too? He does PR stuff for them all the time, so his personal bias may not be coming into this as much as yours is.

Thats nothing compared to the (RED) Bull spin and bias he has spewing for years on the BBc's (my licence fee) payroll. Its the sheer audacity and cynicism of it

He's giving his opinion and unlike any of us in this forum, he's paid for being a pundit and for his opinion. He could give Mercedes a 1/10 and give his justification for it, and still be paid!

I don't mind controversial commentators/pundits like DC, Brundle (he's in love with Button but I still think Brundle is one of the best) etc...I just don't like stupid ones. Stupid ones like Steve Slater who I had to bear with for over a decade...and I heard from my dad recently that the coverage in Msia is now by Sky. They disposed off Slater finally. Goodie.

I think we can all agree though that the only pundit worth watching is........ EDDIE JORDAN!

Bias, strange, and makes crazy suggestions yes; but when he interview team bosses/drivers he always pushes the hard questions and backs them into corners!

Plus he's bloody hilarious.
