Pope Francis

A quick read reveals these highlights:

He supports the use of contraception to prevent the spread of disease,
He's also stated "men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies must be accepted with respect and compassion" though is not for same-sex marriage,
On poverty he's said "immoral, unjust and illegitimate".

Positively forward thinking for a Pope!

Don't know where you got those facts but his take on same-sex marriage is that it's the work of the devil and a “destructive attack on God’s plan.”

Yeah I heard similar reported in a news article. Ahh well, they're all tarred with the same brush.

I put a link to his Wikipedia page in my post above.

The act of marriage and being in a relationship are different things. All he's saying is that he doesn't believe that homosexuals should be joined in holy matrimony but they can easily live over the brush.

Dear Pope,

The Falklands are still ours.

Many Thanks

They're cold, wet and there's he-haw there - of course they're ours! :hehe:

Oil, minerals, a claim on antartica, fishing rights, because it is ours, I like penguins, a lot of americans visit the place.

The entire GPD is 75 million. Her royal highness has that in spare change under he seat cushions. Antarctica is not claimable by any one country and if it was, then It's the Finns that would be most suited to 'run' it. :hehe:
