The fact that I came SOOOO close to winning the F1 Pool obviously clouded my memory with regards to the Fantasy league. In 2012, not choosing Seb or Alonso early on was a big mistake... one that I made, unfortunately.

The rewards don't come from choosing a championship leader early on. You're better off points wise lucking into a 'Talent' driver that manages to consistently get into the low points and that preferably comes from the mid field into the points regularly. For quite a few GPs last season Button and even Kimi were far and away points leading scorers in the game.

I would have won last season if it wasn't for JB and MW screwing up constantly throughout the season; hence why both have been left out of my picks for the first couple of races!

My ultra tip, if it's like last season, is to get hold of guys who will rise in value (even if only suddenly), who you can trade up for the big hitters over the course of the season. Unless they changed the way the game works that's my tactic again this year! Hoping for more fun competition with you lot again

You have to nominate one of your drivers as up and coming talent, the driver has to be under a certain value to be registered as your talent driver, but I can't remember how much that value is!
