Racing incident. They're both idiots really.

Bit harsh on Massa but excellent assessment but sadly the race stewards seem to have forgotten that racing incidents happen and seem obsessed with aportioning blame in every single incident.

Its simple, the little Crier in the red car needs a 101 lesson on RACING. His thing with racing is not new, he's had quite a few crashes in his pathetic career, and it won't end.

What Lewis needs to do is to qualify well and make SURE he's nowhere NEAR the Crier. This time around the stewards felt another penalty was needed during practice as Lewis was looking a bit too fast for their liking, so Lewis had no choice but to start near the Crier.

Conclusion, sooner Ferrari kicks the Crier out of the team, the safer the racing at the sharp end.

I'm more curious about Hamiton wearing a Marley helmet. Does F1 drug test? Once or twice is bad luck. The cryer in the chrome car seems to always be part of one conflict or anther. I have no problem with people smoking the pot but it probably should be avoided before races. It explains ALOT. The bad attitude, the bad judgement, the slow reaction times. Hamilton is a menace to the sport and it appears isn't even a contender anymore since Button seems to be showing him how it's done.

What baffles me about this whole issue is that given their experiences with each other in recent races neither of them seems to be able to learn anything. I mean Lewis must know Felipe is going to turn in and Felipe must know that Lewis won't back out of it. Normally if a driver attempts a tough pass and the passed is so unwilling to give way that they crash, the guy attempting the pass files it for future reference and is more circumspect in future. The fact that these two keep crashing seems to suggest they are locked in a battle for dominance and neither will allow the other one to gain the upper hand by yielding an inch. As I've said elsewhere here, I'm a Lewis fan but believe that today he could've waited for the DRS pass rather than take what he knows from previous races to be a very risky move. I mean why give Felipe the Lewis excuse he's looking for to explain why he's consistently the slowest driver in the top 3 teams.

I bet both Lewis and Felipe simply cannot wait for this season to end. Considering they were battling for the title back in 2008, they've both had absolute shockers this season. If both of them are willing to forget about 2011 when this season is out, then they but themselves in much better stead for next season. This bickering, both on track and off, is just about bordering on ridiculous now.

I'll remember it for the fantastic Vettel dominance but there is something else rather depressing and disappointing that sticks in my mind as well that has overshadowed this season.

When the trailing car's front tyre already is forward of the leading car's rear tyre, that is far too late for any slamming of the door. And the new clarification of the "one move" rule stipulates that a driver defending his line must leave any pursuer no less than a car's width of the racing surface.



That isnot a car's width to spare.

If Massa saw Hamilton (and I have no reason to believe he did not), then he must have done it deliberately, which probably means he was counting on the stewards to jump to the conclusion it was Hamilton's fault.

Why would Massa deliberately collide with Hamilton? there is no guarantee that any decision will go his way and there is a high possibility that Massa himself will be the one out of the race while Hamilton continued unharmed! if that really was Massa's motive then he needs to have his super licence revoked, Personally I still think it's one of those 'mythical' racing incident!

I'm not a fan of either Lewis or Felipe, but to be honest both drivers deserved a drive through penalty (not only Felipe). As Martin Brundle said, that corner is "one at a time only".
I can blame both drivers for that incident: Lewis for forcing a pass in a very tight spot and Felipe for not backing down (if he indeed saw Lewis near him, tho where the hell were he was supposed to go? outside the track or directly into the bumpers?)

Screw it, the more I look at the replays the more I'm inclined into blaming Lewis for this incident, even if Felipe leaved some room for him, they would still eventually collide in the corner middle/exit spot. Why ? He was on the dirty line trying to brake from ~200Km/h (with his wheels filled with dust) forcing him to have a wide corner exit or even leave the track (guess where Felipe would be?)
My opinion is that Lewis takes so many unnecessary risks too often and it shows
Also David and Martin were so funny and sarcastic "Martin: Drive through penalty for car 6 ... David: Exactly as we predicted it is.. Martin: It is..". Clearly they didn't agreed with stewards decision (and both aren't Joe&Abe from street corner, they are ex F1 drivers with impressive experience and accomplishments) ... even so at some point Martin said : "What could Massa have done ?!"
