Massa being told to destroy Hamiltons race is not quite as bad as Barrichello being told to kill Heidfeld.

As usual you miss the whole point.

The context here in Singapore, is for a driver to deliberately 'screw up' someone's race. In that vid, Rubens is asked to catch up and "kill" (DEFEAT) the other guy.

The argument in Singapore is Ferrari were telling Massa to deliberately 'screw up' Hamiltons race, although it wont benefit Massa himself.

Personally, I dont care about the issue much but understand where people like RC is coming from. IMO Massa's race engineer needs to be a bit smarter with his words from now on.

Surely you realise the different way in which the words were used? the word kill was not used literally, the word destroy was.

You're splitting hairs. The point is in both instances, aggresive words were used but this one is being blown out of all proportion because it was said in connection with Hamilton by someone at Ferrari. Far to much is being made of this. It's not the first time a number 2 driver has been asked to crap allover someone elses race to help the number 1 driver and it certainly won't be the last.

The comment to destroy Hamilton's race was literal.

The comment to Kill Heidfeld was not.

Like I said, mountain out of a molehill. massa was asked to do his job as the number 2 driver. Would you rather he was asked to get in the way of Hamilton? Means the same thing.

There might have been malice but more than likely not, maybe Massa braked a little earlier than he did previously, maybe Hamilton misjudged; but ultimately it's done and dusted!
