Alonso & Kimi wouldn't have worked, not because Kimi would care who his team mate was but because Alonso wouldn't have 100% of the teams backing. They booted Kimi, the man they stole from McLaren to get them their title in the absence of Schumacher. Which he gave them in his first season there... something Fernando hasnt done yet which im sure Kimi loves :hehe:

Im hoping he never does

I doubt Kimi cares, he doesn't care enough to try and get any more f1 titles.

Look, we all know what attitudes are on here, what's the point in pointing them out? It's really petty, I should go on Lewis threads and say I hope he never wins another title, etc. See how you like that?

It really is trolling. Your just looking for a reaction, not adding anything to the discussion.

First and foremost, being a Brit has nothing to do with why I support Lewis. Ive stated that several times on here. Ive supported him for many years-before F1 and its purely because of his driving.

i'm sure him being Brit has something to do with it. Although i'm also sure you and most his fans do like his driving and/or aspects of it... its no big deal though, people can like whatever they want, and for whatever the reasons.

Secondly I was explaining the sponsorship issue because someone else brought it up. Personally I think Ferrari would favour Alonso wherever the money came from. Alonso demands it.

i dont think that is the case. Sure, Alonso demans support, but Ferrari arent stupid and it has been shown that they dont just support him under any circumstance; its also not something irrational. You can tell by the way Ferrari have done nothing about it at some races when Massa has been ahead of Alonso.

Santander, a spanish bank... pays some good bills at Mclaren as well.

Hi Mr A and welcome to FORUMULA1!

As self confessed Tifosi, there are times when I read some stuff that grinds my wheels. And a bit of it can come from media bias. But, always remember that, when you weigh it all up there is bias in all directions, for and against. And, yes, some does come from Britain, but some also comes from continental Europe that's biased against British teams and drivers for no good reason as well. It's best just to ignore all that sort of poo.

As for people posting here, I've got to say that RC is a genuine fan of Lewis and there's nothing wrong with that. I also don't think Nando would be first on her birthday party invite list, but, she never fails to give him his due credit as a driver. All pretty healthy stuff as far as I'm concerned.

RC, if Lewis does ever find his way into a SF seat I've got your first Tifosa T-shirt ready (hopefully you won't notice it's wet)

I second everything Spanky said, except I'd leave out his sexist comments about a wet t-shirt. :hehe:

Thanks guys. Thats appreciated. :scratchchin: Hmmmm., I do like red. :spaz: What am I saying!!!

But you preceeded it by posting:

Oh come on! Ferrari will think nothing of compromising Felipe's race if it better's Alonso's.
And I'm saying regardless of where the money comes from Alonso is one of the top three pilots in F1
And all the whining you Brits do will never change that reality!

I think youre mixing things a bit here.

Thirdly. I agree with you. Though I don't like Alonso, he is one of the top three drivers.

Girly I've been watching F1 since 1967 I know the ins and outs of the competition. Alonso, Hamilton and Vettel are in the positions they are in on merit, the same way Jackie Stuart, Emerson Fitapaldi, Joseph Gilles Henri Villeneuve, Niki Lauda and especially Nigel Ernest James Mansell that used Ricardo (you don’t mind pulling over for me Patresi since you are my punching bag). All favored the driver that exhibited the propensity for being faster. The only difference now is the number 2 pilot makes like $20 million a year. The little BS details that you Brits get sucked into by your tabloids doesn't pass muster with me. Massa should be glad to have had the opportunity to drive for Ferrari. Hamilton’s (who’s talent is tremendous) is a freakin’ mess, and Vettel has tremendous talent and the fastest car by a long shot. If you want to hate on Fred that's cool with me, because I just enjoy F1 regardless of who is the fastest, and admire every single one that made it to any F1 team

I wasn't questioning your knowledge of F1.
I didnt say I hated Fred, I said I didnt like him. Big difference..HUGE!
You Brits??? Whats that all about??
Dont call me girly.

It's ok, Mr Alcatraz is your typical passive aggressive American, just don't mention the possibility of the Austin GP not being the success we all hope it will be, but if he is who I am fairly certain I think he is, he's a good fellow and up for a good bit of discussion and debate.

Fred's a great driver and I do not hate him but then again I do not really like him. I think he and LH are the most talented drivers on the current grid and if FA believes he can chase down SV the Ferrari team, strictly imo of course, must focus more on strategy than think they have a faster car atleast at the moment.

Well atleast you made an effort to pull your foot out of your mouth  . Hey wanna see an Aggressive Aggressive American  ???

My foot wasn't anywhere near my mouth. If MrA is who I am certain they are they will know what I mean.

@ Andrew---- You are correct sir :D

something Fernando hasnt done yet which im sure Kimi loves :hehe:

Im hoping he never does
That is about the pettiest piece of trolling I've read on this site. Do you actually think Kimi cares what happens at Ferrari in regard to the man that replaced him or anybody else now that he is gone from the team?
Oh yea’ and I'm quite sure Fred probably wakes up every morning and says hehe!! I have twice as many WDC as Kimi, and Hamilton.
<EDITED> WB
I think not!

Kimi was brought up, I was talking about Kimi, can't complain about that because it hit a nerve!

Yes Kimi was brought up in this discussion!
You were the one who brought him into it .
It was a really lame attempt to elicit a response from vaptin, and I'm guessing maybe me.
You say you hit a nerve? Nothing in his reply or mine demonstrated anything like the kind of reaction you are tried to portray.
I suggest you get real, and drop back ten and punt, because you have painted yourself into a corner by suggesting that you could drag Kimi into this conversation and either one of us would give a flying )(*&p.! :wavey:

Well, no, "I'm sure Kimi loves", there's no actual evidence or even suggestion for that, your phase pretty much set the tone. If your being serious, I take it your post is trying to suggest, whilst Kimi's the better driver than Alonso, for some reason Ferrari got rid of him for Alonso to keep Alonso happy?

You skirted around the issue with Kimi and Ferrari, it was just another excuse to get a dig at Alonso in, you usually seem to do this.

It's infuriating talking to someone who only wants to see half the damn story, I could always point out Kimi was outperformed in 08 and 09 by Massa, made sense at the time to choose Massa over him. You probably are able to work that out too.

If he was looking for a reaction, he achieved it handsomely. :D

That's the problem with people like you....for example some of us just dont like certain drivers and we point it out in the post. What's the big deal? It's pathetic to want 'revenge' and simply post in another drivers thread just to 'get back' at the person who doesn't like your driver...do you see the difference?

I dislike Alonso as I found him an arrogant **** on numerous occasions, and I don't like him....not because of his fans not liking Lewis who gives a damn about that.

And yeah, I'm another who hopes Alonso never wins a WDC with Ferrari. As a McLaren fan, it is always the sweetest thing to see Ferrari come away empty handed. There, you going to a McLaren thread to post something negative just because of my feelings with Ferrari? :hehe:
#266492
Mr A I would re read the thread before making such accusations, Mr Andrew of Aberdeen was the man who chicago typed Kimi's name, wish "you Americans" would read before you write... You americans, doesnt sound nice does it? Hell im not British but your "you Brits" i found offensive :hehe:

Cry me a river Vaptin, you and your fellow Alonso merry men are some of the biggest negator trollers on here! Why arent you so pompous when Lewis gets bagged? on a level 10x as what Alonso does mind you.
But cmon 08 Kimi was struck by a lot of damn bad luck, as for 09 how can he be outperformed by a guy that missed half the season? End of the day Ferrari knew Alonso cannot be in a team with a World Champion or a driver vying to be World Champion as a team mate. History speaks for itself, Ferrari knew this and chose Alonso over Kimi. Kimi wanted to stay in F1 but at a top team and on his terms. McLaren was his only option but they didn't want to pay him what he wanted, nor did he want to do the PR stuff they wanted. Bye bye Kimi, thanks Fernando but alas you got your red car in the end!

Ferrari are now looking for a replacement for Massa, someone who can bring home the constructor points, Obviously having Fernando there is going to be tough to entice a decent driver to be team mate, it will take someone who has no ambitions of being a title challenger, someone who is happy to bend over at the whim of team management if it were to further Alonso's cause. For example, even the lure of driving for Ferrari wasn't enough for Rubens to take it up the bum for so long, every man has his limits no matter how much lube Ferrari apply!
