Yes I preferred the 2010 Renault livery, because it added a big splash of a different colour onto the grid. Just like the Jordan Grand Prix days!

However, I won't hesitate to also state that I do also like the new livery, which is a flash back to the old Lotuses. What I do disapprove of is the current dispute between the two "Lotus" teams.

Has it actually been resolved yet?

I was simply referring to the colours used. If you're being that specific, it looks like neither...

Don't worry, I wasn't referring to your post, I was dropping my 2 cents on the Lotus livery issue in general. :p

No worries! 8-)

It seems funny in a way that despite this livery change and "name" change, they are still referred to as Renault anyway. And Team Lotus are still called Lotus. Furthermore, the latter have a better livery

Yeah, I like that the other lotus team is using green/yellow. I think they're my second favorite livery after HRT.

See, this is why I hate the Press.

There are not two Lotus teams. There's Team Lotus and there's Renault GP. Renault GP may well like to claim they're Lotus, but they're not. Their sponsor is Lotus Cars. They are actually Gennii Capital. But they call themselves Renault. For financial reasons. And claim to be Lotus for PR reasons.

Confused yet? You needn't be. It's like this:

Green & Yellow: Lotus.
Black & Gold: Lada.

That's what I was getting at... the "Lotus" team is the one actually wearing Lotus colors.

"the other Lotus team"

Like I said. There's only one, and they're it.

They're both still called "Lotus" aren't they? I was simply differentiating between the one that was being talked about (regardless of the correctness of their name), and the "other" one.

Just be careful lol cuz you might piss someone off; the "other" lotus is renault gp that's black/gold, cuz they're being a bunch of punk TRICKS starting :censored: . The Lotus is Team Lotus with the green/yellow car.

No, that's the point :banghead:

Their title sponsor is called Lotus. They are called Renault GP. Their owner is called Genii Capital and Renault and Lotus have about as much to do with the team as Lada do - another sponsor.

You're confusing sponsor and owner. It's like saying McLaren is being owned by Vodafone.

The black/gold car goes under Lotus Renault, just like McLaren goes under Vodafone McLaren. Vodafone and Lotus' role here is pumping in money and don't really have much of a say in the decision making.

The green/yellow car is THE Lotus team.
