“We recognise Lewis’ efforts to set the record straight. It would appear he was put in an impossible position,” an FIA spokesman said.

Any chance you think they'll recind the dsq for Lewis after his appology?

No. But they will probably not penalise Lewis further. Any action after this point will most likely be taken against McLaren.

Yeh thats what i'm afraid of.

To be fair since they got rid of Ryan - (who i doubt was acting alone to be fair) i think they will drop it.

i expect he'll be back once this is all over tho.

They really should drop it now, Ryan's been suspended, Lewis disqualified, what more do they want

Not a chance - he wouldn't have given it had they not penalised him.

Was going to say on my post, do they want blood ?

The FIA and Ecclestone don't like McLaren. In an ideal world, I think they'd like McLaren to disappear. In the real world, that won't work; the team are a pretty important fixture in the sport and the grid's already sparse enough on teams. What they'll do is harass McLaren indefinitely, making mountains of mole holes.

They've got it. I think they're just trying to really shake McLaren, now, and prevent them from being so silly in the future. Or perhaps provoke a reaction to it, but that's less likely.

Mclaren could do no wrong and yet the FIA would probably make-up a new rule and it just so happens to be something that Mclaren are doing wrong

This is getting childish

It's hard to keep your nose clean when the regulations are messed up.

I think it's pretty obvious you're not supposed to lie in a Stewards' hearing.
