It does help that Ferrari doesn't have a titanium axle which can easily be cross-threaded.

Any screw device can easily be cross-threaded, can they not?
I thought the idea of the titanium axle and aluminum nut was so that *if* they got cross-threaded, only the nut would get damaged - not the expensive, hard to replace axle.
Do ferrari not use titanium axles and aluminum nuts? I thought the nuts were just embedded into the wheel somehow, making it easier for the pit crew to line them up.
