I love the question/comment about "so your senses are 360 degress at this point?" and Nando's response, "especially with Grosjean yes".

:hehe: that's ace. I agree hammer! he's creeping back up in my estimation. I doubt I'll ever go as far as wearing Alonso gear again (that was pre 2007 when I wanted him to beat Schumacher) but he's no longer rock bottom, there are other far more worthy candidates for rock bottom slot :D

Never disputed his driving skills. He's right up there with Lewis. Well he's very very very very very close

He's still a bit more intelligent than Lewis I think. For example, Lewis burned his tyres out behind Grosjean in Korea all those laps until he was a sitting duck....I think Alonso might've held back after a few laps and look for the next pitstop to get past.

But that's why we like Lewis I guess, he's born to do sprint races....how the sport should be, not tire saving, fuel saving, KERS/DRS assisted hanky panky.

Oh and I think Lewis and Vettel are definitely quicker than him over 1 lap, easily.

Ive been doing some stats work of my own.

As you can see below, Alonso is now all-time F1 points record holder:

1 Fernando Alonso 1571
2 Michael Schumacher 1566
3 Sebastian Vettel 1351
4 Lewis Hamilton 1074
5 Jenson Button 1059
6 Mark Webber 996.5
7 Kimi Räikkönen 963
8 Alain Prost 798.5
9 Felipe Massa 794
10 Rubens Barrichello 658

Conclusion:
More is better, therfore as Alonso has most, he is now the Greatest F1 driver of all time!

This is the best deployment of stats ever

‘The number of Elvies Presley impersonators has reached an all-time record high – there are now at least 85,000 Elvis’s around the world, compared to only 170 in 1957 when he died. At this rate of growth, experts predict that by 2019 Elvis impersonators will make up a third of the world population.’

Does anyone really think this will happen? No. Are the ‘facts’ correct? Yes.

As you can see below, Alonso is now all-time F1 points record holder:

1 Fernando Alonso 1571
9 Felipe Massa 794

Conclusion:

In less than half the time at Ferrari, Alonso almost doubled Massa's points (season not over, so that will probably happen)!!

7 Kimi Räikkönen 963
9 Felipe Massa 794

Conclusion:

In less than 1/3 of the time at Ferrari, Kimi scores almost 25% more points (might change if Massa scores more points, this season)!

p.s. did I ever mention I HATE statistics?? :whip:

You seem to be looking at those stats as if all three drivers only amassed those points at Ferrari - where infact all three drivers have accumulated those points over multiple teams.
