Ted Kravitz says the general consensus in the paddock is that Ferrari have the best solutions for cooling.

Thing about cooling is that it either works for you or it doesnt. Having the best solution for cooling wont get you far if your competitor has the fastest and most reliable car with a cooling system that works well but is not as fancy as yours.

I would prefer to wait till we see a full race sim before saying everyones cooling system works, because we can know till then

However if your competitors engines overheating and can not run at full chat it negates that advantage

Interesting. Personally I would place a very high value on having an efficient and clearly compact cooling solution.

...Ferrari were too busy vilifying Mercs test to realise they were getting screwed as well

You mean the """illegal""" testing that was done, with BOTH Mercedes drivers and their PRESENT car?
You might do well to remember that it was NOT """just""" Ferrari that didn't approve!!
NOR was it """only""" Ferrari that got screwed with the Pirelli tire change!!

But, then again, singling out Ferrari seems to be your mission in life!!
Starting to believe you're a closet Tifosi and are just fighting it!! :P

i didnt say only Ferrari disapproved of Merc, or that only Ferrari got screwed. I stated a fact about Ferrari vilifying Mercs test (to help Pirelli on safety issue) that made Pirelli flounder handing the advantage to RBR who didnt want the tyres Pirelli proposed as a result of the test. That tyre would have allowed ferrari to be much closer to RBR than the previous years tyres which were brought out because of the vilification.

Who else vilified Mercs test and in so doing ended up much worse off?

So would everyone else. However if the performance advantage is no more than that of a rival with its own efficient and compact enough solution then its irrelevant, especially when it has not been proven over full racing conditions.

Its like saying Ferraris braking system is the best but another car is much faster. Unless that other car has brakes that dont work its not such a big deal. i.e the other car could have had the compact colling but didnt need it

or put another way its like turning up to a beauty contest and saying contestant no 5 has a good personality :hehe:

You raise my interest with your thinking. Personally I'd take a better cooling system over a working one. I'd also jump at a better braking system over a working one - and I'd gladly give up a few kph for it.

We are closest on the personality, but I would point out that a good personality helps when it comes to that old definition of "an eternity" :hehe:

Do you always read the full post before responding. sometimes single sentences work better when taken in context of the entire post...

I read every word with bated breath... Hoping against hope that you'll not be negative towards Ferrari...
Unfortunately, I have yet to be pleasantly surprised, as your negativity knows no bounds... sigh... :P

I edited your post for you on the back of the following;

The FIA Stewards have convened a hearing into Mercedes' post-Spanish GP tyre test after Red Bull and Ferrari both lodged complaints.

Confirmation the test had taken place only emerged at the Monaco Grand Prix, with the protests made ahead of the race which was won by Mercedes' Nico Rosberg.

The Silver Arrows completed 1000km at the Circuit de Catalunya over three days in the week after the race in Barcelona and their rivals are unhappy that Mercedes might have gained an unfair advantage.

In-season testing is banned in Formula 1, but both Mercedes and Pirelli believe the running was permitted within the regulations.

Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes and Pirelli were all been summoned to see the stewards after the race.

The official notice from the FIA read: "Protests have been lodged by Infiniti Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Ferrari concerning an alleged breach of Article 22.4 h) of the FIA Formula 1 Sporting Regulations.

Please take your scarlet tinted opiated tifosi glasses off for a minute. The truth does exist and your precious Ferrari do not always come out smelling of roses

Sagi58, did you actually know that it was Ferrari and RBR that protested about Mercs tyre test (a test offered to all 3 and taken up by Merc in response to Pirellis cry for help on safety grounds)
Did you know that without the protest, the FIA would have done nothing and Pirelli would have introduced new safer tyres?
Bet you knew that the protests caused a big stink resulting in Pirelli abandoning their plans, and bringing back the 2012 tyres........
....Which benefited Red Bull

And caused Merc and Ferrari to become unable to challenge Red Bull?

I know you wont answer any of these questions and just say that whatever Ferrari do is fine and you must stick up for them

Ferrari - Luca although a tool, to be precise is not the sharpest tool in the box, simples

 Merc were just as big losers with the tyre change as Ferrari. .....( I wrote that in a previous post but now it's disappeared  sometimes that happens. I click submit and it doesn't always go)

Ferrari are looking pretty decent. On other words I need to sign to the Tifosi section so I can get my username in RED :)

Yup, and at least Merc were not stupid enough to lodge a protest with the FIA leading to RBR getting the tyres they wanted instead. Just like Merc would not be stupid enough to publically take on Bernie for more payout when Bernie has been keeping secret the fact that they already have an unfair payout and vetos
