Quite understandably the stewards took no action. No-one was to blame, it was a racing accident, these things happen. Vettel and Button at Spa last year was a racing incident (Vettel lost the car under braking and slid into Button - not much he could do about that imo)

Would like to see how Lewis handles driving for a mid field team.....me thinks he couldnt hack it

Come off it mate.

I'm sorry but unlike every other driver who has to work their way up the ranks from the small teams to the big teams, Lewis had everything handed to him on a platter. Been in one of the strongest cars every year. Vettel, Alonso and all that have had to earn their way to the top through years of hard work at the rear of the field.

McLaren midfield in 2009? They had the 3rd best car ffs and where pretty much at Red Bull level in the 2nd half of the year.

lol, not worth a reply.

I thought that Spa delivered again; plenty of overtaking, plenty of spills and thrills, this is why we all love Spa, shame that they have sanitised the Bus Stop chicane, it doesn't even look like it's name sake anymore. From a personal point of view, two of my favourite driver were on the podium, MW and JB. I thought that JB drove a brilliant race from 13th; great strategy, starting on the slower prime tyre is what ultimately rescued his race after the poor Q session, then being able to use the much faster option tyre for most of the race. Yes you could argue that JB was lucky that the safety car came out, allowing him to close up after dropping holding station with the harder tyre at the start, Mark Webber recovered well from a poor start; bogging down again off the line losing him half a dozen places. I enjoyed the battle between the Mercedes drivers, I'm not Schumacher fan but it was nice to see him get a decent result in the race which marks the 20th anniversary of his F1 career! Alonso did well and could have won but Ferrari got the strategy wrong which meant he became a sitting duck in the final dozen laps but still a solid fourth place finish.

The title race is over now; there was a glimmer of hope with Red Bull perceived to be going backwards but Sunday's 1 - 2 just confirmed that Red Bull are still the team to beat!

Someone asked how would Hamilton drive in a mid-field team? Well, let's put it like this. How would Kobayashi drive in McLaren?

He wouldn't ever drive a McLaren because they hire drivers of talent.

That's a scary thought there Vlad. Though it's about time a Japanese driver got into a good team. I think Kobayashi is the best chance for that.

Harsh, Kobi, isn't talent-less, not sure where you would get that conclusion from. If anything he and Hamilton are identical in being aggressive drivers. Which is nice to see. He consistently keeps sauber in decent form, but its clear sauber is being left behind technically.

Hamilton would be pretty much as good as anyone else would be, as good as the car, I think kobayashi would be great at mclaren, but I'm not sure I would want two drivers who push the braking limits as they do.

There is a lot of hype about him because he was not that good in GP2 but has done alright once in F1, has made a lot of good passes but also a lot of not so good passes. I can safely say he will never go to McLaren because he is not on their radar. I mean look at Heikki, he has done pretty good for lotus but his time at McLaren was nothing spectacular, whois to say Koby would be any different?
