I'm aware of how Schumacher got his dog, it's one I the things I admired him for....but he frequently took it to races as did Kimi.

So it's not the dog in the paddock per se we're objecting to now...just the dog in the paddock at races outside of Europe. It gets more and more bizarre.
As you say, it's up to Lewis what he does and how he looks after his dog. I don't care what Watson says, but if he talks crap he should expect to be called out on it.
Now lets just take a different stance on one of your points. This one...' Why do Lewis fans get so agitated if someone criticises Lewis? ' How about ' why do people feel the need to keep bringing up irrelevant aspects of Lewis' life?'
I don't get upset if people criticise Lewis ,if its a valid criticism. I've said myself that he needs to get on top of this braking issue, so has Lewis. But his dog?? PLLEEEEEAASSE!
Watson is spot on about Lewis. His pet antics are clearly for posing, akin to Paris Hilton carrying around a wee dog as a fashion accessory!
I'm sure a lot of the other drivers have pets but don't feel the need to parade them in front of the public eye.
No wonder Nico is giving it to Lewis this year.
Yeh it will all be down to Lewis having a dog
Oh and he's not the only one. Kimmi did it and so did Schumacher amongst others. ......but that'll be fine because its not Lewis.
Really, do you remember them flying their dogs around the world with them, or actually taking it to even one race that was not driving distance to their home in Europe? Schumi's wife's adopted dog from Brazil excepted, as obviously that one did get one flight. But I don't recall them flying the dogs to china etc for weekend trips.
But hey, different people, different styles. Why do Lewis fans get so agitated if someone criticizes Lewis? If he's ok, and can focus on pets around the GP weekend, why should anyone else care if Watson or whoever thinks.

You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.
