Watson is spot on about Lewis. His pet antics are clearly for posing, akin to Paris Hilton carrying around a wee dog as a fashion accessory!
I'm sure a lot of the other drivers have pets but don't feel the need to parade them in front of the public eye.
No wonder Nico is giving it to Lewis this year.

Yeh it will all be down to Lewis having a dog

Oh and he's not the only one. Kimmi did it and so did Schumacher amongst others. ......but that'll be fine because its not Lewis.

Really, do you remember them flying their dogs around the world with them, or actually taking it to even one race that was not driving distance to their home in Europe? Schumi's wife's adopted dog from Brazil excepted, as obviously that one did get one flight. But I don't recall them flying the dogs to china etc for weekend trips.

But hey, different people, different styles. Why do Lewis fans get so agitated if someone criticizes Lewis? If he's ok, and can focus on pets around the GP weekend, why should anyone else care if Watson or whoever thinks.

I'm aware of how Schumacher got his dog, it's one I the things I admired him for....but he frequently took it to races as did Kimi.

So it's not the dog in the paddock per se we're objecting to now...just the dog in the paddock at races outside of Europe. It gets more and more bizarre.

As you say, it's up to Lewis what he does and how he looks after his dog. I don't care what Watson says, but if he talks crap he should expect to be called out on it.

Now lets just take a different stance on one of your points. This one...' Why do Lewis fans get so agitated if someone criticises Lewis? ' How about ' why do people feel the need to keep bringing up irrelevant aspects of Lewis' life?'
I don't get upset if people criticise Lewis ,if its a valid criticism. I've said myself that he needs to get on top of this braking issue, so has Lewis. But his dog?? PLLEEEEEAASSE!

Many screws.

But why would he bring his dog around the world. Who looks after him every race.

I doubt he's short of volunteers!

Why does he bring it? Because he loves his dog and wants it with him. No point having a dog if you constantly leave it.

An interesting article by Mark Hughes on Lewis and his current braking issues. Never since Lewis first began testing the Mclaren prior to coming into f1 has he been unable to get the feel he requires from the brakes like hes experiencing now.Last race a Monaco he went back to the carbon industries brakes he prefers and Mercedes tied to accommodate them with the brake calliper s. this coming race will be a crucial one, because at Canada Lewis' braking gives him a margin over the rest of the field like nowhere else.
In the past his quali advantage it's gone like this
2007 - over Alonso- 0.456 sec
2008 - over Kovaleinen - 1.203 sec
2010 - over JB- 0.415 sec
2011 - over JB - 0.273 sec
2012 - over JB -1.095
I don't know what happened to 2009, it wasn't in the list. He's won every race there he's finished ( three)

So his advantage here is great , and this weekend could go one of two ways.....
His braking issues could wipe out his advantage altogether.
Or, because the advantage is so great here it cold allow him to push and find the sweet spot. And what he leans from that he can then take and use on tracks where his advantage is more marginal.
So all in all, an important race for Hamilton.

Ohh please whose talking more about Lewis' dog and how cute it is including changing avatar to dogs pic. So yes it is something special about Lewis fans. Haven't seen other dogs or even girlfriend pics adored as much as Rocco.

This is the Lewis fan thread...if you can't take it, easy, don't read it and stay out. Instead of coming in and b**ching about it, gets you nowhere.

Lewis or Lewis fan thread? I guess I misunderstood that then. Apologies will stay out of it, if it disturbs Lewis fans here to discuss and disagree. I assume the same rule applies to other threads too. That though would make discussions quite limited or non existing here.

It is the fan thread...but no one has a problem with disagreements or discussions, but if you prefer to thrash talk or question someone's adoration about Lewis (or his pooch) for that matter...I was just pointing out that you're wasting your time since this IS the fan thread.

It's an incredibly cute dog, and he now has his own thread where his cuteness can be discussed ad infinitum :) glad you like the avater

But why are you upset by Lewis and his dog? Is it because you perceive him ( and his dog) to have more adoring fans than other drivers?

Roscoe is better looking than a lot of unfortunate people in the world.

maybe thats why there is so much jealousy about this mutt who seems to have the world at his feet

:hehe: Can't disagree that its got the world at its feet.

To put it in perspective, it's pretty much a guarantee that dog is worth more than all of forumula members put together. Isn't that just slightly depressing. :crying:
