 Highly respected, my arse! He is just another typical ex-driver, spouting crap just to try and remain relevant.

Dont know who wrote this article - maybe it was you Hammer, but whoever it was, they are full of s***.

Do you mind not being a little sh*t for no reason? I treat you with respect in my posts, it will be cool if you give me the same respect even if we disagree on some matters. Learn from how RC and WB disagreed with me, its not so difficult.

You need to cool you knickers Hammer - All I was doing was saying the author of that article was full of :bs: , I wasnt having a go at you in any form.

You're getting a little "touchy" Hammer. Hamilton better win in Canada.

Watson is spot on about Lewis. His pet antics are clearly for posing, akin to Paris Hilton carrying around a wee dog as a fashion accessory!
I'm sure a lot of the other drivers have pets but don't feel the need to parade them in front of the public eye.
No wonder Nico is giving it to Lewis this year.

Yeh it will all be down to Lewis having a dog

Oh and he's not the only one. Kimmi did it and so did Schumacher amongst others. ......but that'll be fine because its not Lewis.

Lewis feeds off publicity, he can't help it, it's just the way he is. He seems to love being infront of the cameras and to flaunt himself (Careful). He thrives off the Media attention and does all these antics like publicising his dog etc to feed his hunger for that. He is a PR Managers dream and a Marketing Officer's heaven, no wonder he is the most marketable driver on the grid, he forced himself to be, and that is one of the reasons Merc wanted him so badly.

However one does wonder if it can be too much, he's pushing so much to market himself and make himself a public figure he may be taking time away from race preparations . Whilst it may be too early to know and I'm far too far out of the loop, it may be that some simulation time, or time running through telemetry is sacrificed for publicity drives. He may be getting too distracted with his new found freedom found at Merc, and Ross might like to have a quiet word to reel him in a little. But honestly I don't think that's going to be a serious issue that'll be affecting his times significantly.

However he needs to do something, and just knuckle down for a little bit to give him that little edge, it's not a significant issue yet, but there's only a certain amount of time he can use the excuses new team and new car, that transition period is almost over.

Perhaps he's just using his new found free time to focus on himself. It's been publicized that Mclaren had day after day after day of sponsor events... what's the difference?

Lemon I don't believe he's used any excuses. He's stated what the problem is and that its his his job to work with the engineers to solve it.

He has used the it's a new car, new team, new management etc lines before, not as excuses par say but everyone will have been giving him some "Oh he's not doing that well because of his new team, he needs to settle in" which is fair enough, he does need time as does anyone changing job. But I think that time is coming to an end, and as we can see here people are starting to question his performance so far, but still it's nothing drastic.

Really, do you remember them flying their dogs around the world with them, or actually taking it to even one race that was not driving distance to their home in Europe? Schumi's wife's adopted dog from Brazil excepted, as obviously that one did get one flight. But I don't recall them flying the dogs to china etc for weekend trips.

But hey, different people, different styles. Why do Lewis fans get so agitated if someone criticizes Lewis? If he's ok, and can focus on pets around the GP weekend, why should anyone else care if Watson or whoever thinks.
