i'm kinda hoping on thursday we see a few Mclaren simulation runs and there mid-low 1.17 and everyone just shits themselfs.

be so happy if that happens.

i don't think people would s*** themselves, more like:
'Took you long enough for an epically funded, prestigious super-team/pseudo manufacturer hybrid equipped with the services of the reigning World Driver's Champion! Nice of you to show up.'

Yeh your right, its not those Ferrari lot tho who get 80mil more than everyone else?

Right?

Drop it? That's the way things end up in the world of business. Loyalty is rewarded.

Regardless, McLaren and Ferrari spend roughly the same amount of money each year, so your argument is totally irrelevant. :/

Bollacks! its a sport you need it to be equal for all participants.

Ferrari get 80mil than any other team Williams are struggling to stay in the sport and Honda couldn't afford to stay and they Ferrari are getting handouts.

its f***ing utter TOSH.

its meant to be a sport

Formula One ceased to be solely a sport long before even I started watching it. You're never going to remove the business aspect, so it's pointless trying. In all sports, some people get extras whilst other people get screwed. Do you honestly thing that things would be any different in this one? It sucks, beyond belief, but it's the way things are and will be, unfortunately.

Even if the extra money wasn't handed to Ferrari, the sport would not be equal for all competitors. It never has been.

So your saying its not right but you accept it?

wont' be when FOTA tell Max and Berning to get duck.

Pretty much. There's nothing I can do about it, so I'll just enjoy some motor racing.

Renault to run KERS in Melbourne

By Jonathan Noble Tuesday, March 17th 2009, 17:00 GMT

Renault is the first team to give its Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) the green light to run at the Australian Grand Prix.

While most teams are still undecided about whether or not to introduce the technology for the start of the new season, Renault has seen enough of its device to sign it off for use in Melbourne.

The move ends fears that no teams would choose to use the technology in Australia, although Renault will still be in the minority of outfits who will have KERS ready for the first race.

McLaren, BMW-Sauber and Ferrari have not declared publicly about whether or not they will press their devices into action, while six teams have already confirmed they will not race it in Australia.

Williams, Toyota, Scuderia Toro Rosso, Red Bull Racing, Force India and Brawn GP will all head into the Melbourne event without the technology, although most of them are expected to introduce the systems later in the year.

Renault admitted early in testing that it was surprised about how well its KERS system was running, having been sceptical about its state of development beforehand.

Speaking after the first running of the new R29 in February, technical director Bob Bell said: "The biggest surprise for [us] was perhaps the KERS system as we felt that initially we would have a lot of problems with it and getting the drivers used to it. In reality it has been quite a straightforward transition."

Erm Williams got extra money (60 mil? can't remember exactly how much) as part of the same deal and one other unnamed team received money too. Bernie just made the Ferrari deal public in order to undermine and unanimity in FOTA.

All this talk about fairness in the budget and constantly changing regulations is wearing thin. Why don't they just have a specifically designed car that all the teams can agree on and get all their parts from the same source for the same cost so that everything is equal and fair...

... Oh right, because then it would be NASCAR and it would instantly become stupid and boring.

Teams like Ferrari then Honda and now McLaren have constantly raised the bar in F1, keeping it on the cutting edge of competition. If you can't hang, you don't race. And if you do have the bucks but build a crappy car, guess what - you lose.

That's racing and that's life.

In this world my friend you pay the most the best :)
Now i believe in the pst years i have watched F1 since i was a little boy, that Ferari have put
on a tremendus show for me, from the age of 7 saying 'Daddy i like the red one'
To proudly wearing the shirt with honour. You will notice Schumi? Villenueve? Raikkonen? Massa?
Ferrari have been loyal to the sport and have never turned there back on the sport.
While givving you years of dominance? they hve also raked in the stands of red flags
screaming Michaels name? bringing millions of viewers to watch Mr.Schumacher
kill the competition? no other F1 driver has done this? and no other driver will.
The only man to come even close is Mr.Alonso? hense his huge salary :)
so untill your drivers or 'McLaren' can offer such a great package you wont
see me jumping on the gray train any time soon.
Now before you post back some ridculous answer..think.....
because Schumi has dominated for years....he has beat the very best
he gave us a legend, if he wasn't around, drivers wouldn't have a 21st
centry genius to look up to or spire too?
