Well,Lewis may have been a golden child at Mclaren but certainly he didnt have decisions made in his favour. He was expected to support Alonso and was only put on equal status when his speed became apparent. And in the latter years he had to compete with Whitmarsh's politically adept paramour. Anyway, this thread is about Ferrari , so lets go back there. I like Massa and think his issues are psychological, which I guess is all part of the game. But he's fast when he's on it. Anyway, welcome to our forum  I look forward to some excellent debates! :D

Thanks for the welcome!! :wavey:

Agree with you about Massa's problems being psychological and have been saying so for years!
I think losing the championship so quickly after he thought he had it followed by his horrendous
accident have to have taken a huge toll on him. Unfortunately, there a lot of Ferrari fans (read
Massa fans) who refuse to believe he hasn't bounced back.

I guess sometimes it's best to agree to disagree, especially where "favourites" are concerned!

It be fair I think Ferrari have been very patient. If I was Ferrari boss, I am sad to say Massa would of been given his marching orders last year

Ferrari hopes hinge on Hungary - Alonso

ESPN Staff July 25, 2013

Fernando Alonso says it is essential for Ferrari's morale that he closes the gap to Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel this weekend at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Alonso is 34 points adrift of Vettel in the drivers' championship and has not beaten the Red Bull driver in a straight fight since the Spanish Grand Prix. He said it was crucial he closed the gap this weekend to give his team the necessary motivation for the second half of the season.

"A good result is important," he said. "It's important because there is the summer break after this race and it would be good for the motivation of the team and good for our hopes if we can close the gap to Sebastian. If, before the summer break, this gap increases or goes very high it will be a very stressful summer break for all of us and there will be less motivation. It's an important weekend."

Temperatures could nudge 40C on Sunday at the Hungaroring and Alonso said the team would have to be prepared to change its race strategy if needed.

"Nothing changes in terms of preparation, whatever the temperature is on Sunday we will do our same routine for the rest of the weekend. We just need to be a bit more open in terms of strategy in case there is the need for an extra stop. We will try to understand this tomorrow in the practice."

They could solve that by giving him some food.

At the begining of the Season I really thought Ferrari were going to take one if not both of the championships away from Red Bull this year. Can a Tifosi chime in with what's going on there? Part of the success of Red Bull has been the fact that they've only really had one serious challenger at a time.

Kind of like watching a Kung fu movie where the bad guys all take turns at the protagonist instead of bumrushing in. :hehe:

I'm telling you, it's all spankyham's fault. He needs to quit posting all of Ferrari's updates on this forum, the other teams can simply print screen all his posts and send it to their HQs to work on. :hehe:

Ferrari's latest plan is to fit a snowplough to the car Image

It's pretty disappointing after a good start to the year. It's looking and more like Merc that will take at least one title away from Red Bull. I'm pleased to see Ross having some more success and it really vindicates Lewis's decision to move. Great drive by him.
