A majority of you guys seem to base your opinions prejudice rather than fact? You guys despise Vettel so much you are blinded. So whatever principal applies for Mark doesn't apply to Vettel? I'm sick of it! I hear it all the time! One driver you instantly don't like and you'll twist any rule/principal just to favour another driver!

Afraid not mate, i didn't really mind Vettel or Red Bull before this incident and the fallout.

Again he was not .4 faster it was .1 a lap. Horner has said this! And he was only faster due to the team telling mark to save fuel!

"
Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner insists that a difference in fuel-mixture settings did not a play a major role in precipitating the collision between his Formula One drivers, Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel, in Sunday's Turkish Grand Prix.

While acknowledging that Webber's engineer asked the Australian to reduce his fuel mix to improve his mileage, Horner said that the resultant performance disadvantage was not enough on its own to have helped Vettel draw alongside. He said that the German just got a better run out of the previous corner.

Horner also revealed that when Vettel caught up with Webber--the German star gained 0.4 second in the previous two laps--Webber asked the team to tell Vettel to back off.

Still not .4 seconds faster?, then Horner must be a liar.

I think Big Azza has made a point.Not EVERYONE but some people do that.They hate Vettel and when he has done a mistake they are like:''Ohhhhhh!!!He did a mistake,he has 100% fault!What a dorkie...'' But its not true especially in a sport.

I think Vettel has a big fault but it seems that Webber has a little fault,too.

[quote="Gaz"][quote="Big Azza"]:clap:

"So hes a bad racing driver, a ingnorant little poo, and a coward."

You sir need to get your facts straight, so if Vettel is a coward (and once again I don't like either driver) and what is Mark Webber? Fact remain,Vettel was .4sec FASTER BEFORE Webber was asked to turn down the mixture, have a read for yourself (http://www.autoweek.com/article/20100602/F1/100609966),

So we have a veteran driver begging the team to tell his teammate to slow down becaue he was faster? If Vettel is a coward then Webber is gutless with no balls who's afraid to challenge his teammate. Webber KNOWS Vettel is faster, Webber KNOWS Vettel isn't backing down even after he begged the team to rely the message, this is the reason why Webber refused to move over or allowed enough room for a clean pass, but none of this should have happened if the team would have just give clear instructions to both drivers and we wouldn't have a incident with an "ingnorant little poo" and a "gutless shameless no balls" veteran driver.

I don't know how anyone can say Webber was anything but victim in all of this, He was leading the race, he was asked to save fuel he did so next thing he knows his team mate is along side him.

So he keeps the car steady and dosn't give way so he can perhaps outbrake vettle.

Then Vettle turns into him on a straight so thefore 100% vettles fault.

@bmwpower

Horner talks alot of :bs:

and Vettle is a Coward for not admiting his mistake and hiding behind Helmut Marko.

You said a lap! the previous 2 laps would mean 2 tenths a lap! and from memory of the race he was gaining just under 2 tenths, 0.180 on Webber up to that point.

Am I reading it wrong? It says that the German star gained .4 seconds over two laps..which would be .2 per lap which is a gain easily accounted for by Webber backing off. Vettel had the entire race to overtake and didn't...but he just happened to find the extra pace when Webber was told to conserve fuel? Strange timing don't you think? Where was he the previous majority of the race? Biding his time? Vettel took advantage of his team mate, and that is fine...happens all the time, so be it...but he then made a mistake and took his team mate out....which is bad.

No arguing over who's fault, but Vettel gained .4 seconds BEFORE Webber was asked to turn down his mixture, Vettel gained another .1 after Webber turned down his mixture. If Vettel was faster because he had more fuel, faster because Mark was conserving, or because tires came into play at the end of the race, we can debate this on forever but the fact remained, Vettel found his speed at the end of the race. We see this all the time, one driver may have a great car the first half and another driver will have a better car the second half and Vettel found what he needed at the end. If we agreed on Vettel gaining on Webber and the time sheet proved it, then as team principle would you let a faster teammate sit behind a slower teammate? And if you said yes then you are lying to yourself. Which brings me to the second point, Webber asked the team to tell Vettel to back off, why? I find it odd that people have a problem with Vettel trying to pass his teammmate and not with Webber pleading with his team to hold Vettel, what would you do as team principle, hold Vettel and let Button and Hamilton bunch up with both Red Bull and have a four way fight or let the faster car go and let Webber fight his own fight instead of pleading for help. No doubt Vettel hit Webber but circumstances leading up to the accident could have been avoided if the team would have just give clear directions to both drivers and that's IT, no conspiracy theory, no favoring either drivers, you try to bring home the faster car.

Anybody that gives McLaren a fight "talks a lot of :bs: " right? talk about bias.

You try to bring home the fastest car? Why so when you can bring home both cars? And you need to look VERY CAREFULLY at why one car may appear faster.
Why did Webber ask Vettel to be slowed? Well if he did I imagine its because he'd been asked to conserve fuel and found vettel in his mirrors. So he'd ask the question " if you want me to slow then call vettel off."
