Hamilton didn't have any tyre problems. In fact, of those in the front his tyres were in the best condition. Why speculate when you have evidence? Just read the driver quotes on the f1 website.

I think the key regarding the call is - was Lewi's catching Alonso and Massa faster just before he pitted, or when he closed them down after? If he couldn't pass Alonso on newer tires, would he have managed without pitting?

Good tyre call Jens (but his tyres had gone thats why he called it-so not necessarily a tyre miracle worker) Good controlled race though. He made his luck and it paid off . But WOW Lewis what a race!!-how many overtakes? Deserved better than 6th for that.

I suppose struggling on the intermediattes made it easier, but Jenson got it right in thinking he could make the softer compounds work for him to make up for the earlier pit stop.

lewis said on the radio on his last tyres, I think it was about 15 laps to go " My tyres are shot", From the horses mouth I think, That was his second slicks and Jenson was happily carrying on with his first slicks.

Aye, but I think that was just the dirty air from Alonso.

Definitely very possible, we'll see when Lewis charges off at the front sometime and I'm sure we'll see Lewis at the front soon.

Mmm, thats what Brundle thought as well. He said how could Hamilton be catching Alonso at the rate he was then suddenly have shoddy tyres.

How long before JB is McLaren's number 1 driver for 2010?
At what round, if he is ahead on points in the DC, do they focus race stragies around him?

Never mind the second slicks, I don't know about those, my gripe is with the FIRST slicks, those were just fine compared to rest of the front runners. The worst thing for me was that Jenisha was only 6 seconds in front at the time. Fresh meat for Hamilton as there was a bucket of load of laps left and Kubica would have been passed sooner or later.

I think that first blood in the battle of Britons will have to go to Jenson; Lewis lost his head because he couldn't get past Alonso; let's face it the Spaniard was never going to make it easy and the Ferrari is a quick car; blaming the team openly over the radio is disgraceful. Jenson made the correct decision on tyres, Lewis did not and qualified poorly which affected his race and strategy; well done Jenson for being brave and calling the conditions perfectly!

Who in the name of the Dark Lord Xenu is Jenisha and what was said person doing between Kubica and the race leader - World Champion, Jenson Button?

McLaren won't make a call on which guy to back for the WDC for a while yet. Round 12 before they even start to think about it I expect.

Really, you are getting carried away, lol.

Jenson won today because he took a gamble and it paid off,he didn't out drive Lewis he simply took that gamble. This gamble was taken after Lewis had come from 11th on the grid to overtaking him,he had to do something. It's a case of fool me once but not twice, Jenson won't be able to rely on early pit stops to keep him in front of Lewis all season. Honestly, i can see Lewis catching button in the next two races on the leader board with no problems at all.

If McLaren would not of pitted him when they though the Ferraris were going to pit, Lewis would of been second and ahead on points so luck played a big part in today's race where everyone was concerned,Jenson got lucky that's all. On sheer out and out driving Lewis was supreme until Webber in his frustration and anger having been taken earlier in the race by Lewis decided to take him out. Even after Lewis was punted into the gravel he still manage to finish 6th,that's a testament to his driving skills.

Again, Button wont be able to rely on early pit stops all season because without that he would not of won but he did so fair cop, let's not think for one minute that Lewis is down and out though, lol.

Button has number one on his car but he is not the best driver at Mclaren, the season will show this. :)

First Mclaren podium to Lewis..First Mclaren win for Jenson.
