Oftentimes an athlete's career is cut short due to repeated concussions
((e.g., NFL players - Sidney Rice, Russell Allen; NHL players - Pat LaFontaine, Eric Lindros)).

Regardless of the what or how, it's still a tragedy! :(

That last bit is something we haven't been told about. I'm not sure what the prior injury was, I know he injured his neck when he went motor bike riding, but this guy mentioned specifically head.

I'm pretty sure he fell off his bike and injured his neck badly and had a few minor head injuries. Think that was why he couldnt race for Ferrari in 2009 when he tried to replace Massa.

Yes I believe that was the incident being referred to.

Sagi of course it's still a tragedy. It would be whoever it happened to, and it's ironic that after all his life racing at speed he injures himself so badly doing what mere mortals do year after year. Thou it does sound now as though he was reckless with where he skied if a ski instructor is saying that.
Only reason I posted it was its a bit if info from someone in the know and not the media.

Yeah it was the bike accident he had in February of that year which hindered him from returning to replace Massa...That was when we got instead.......HIM.....Badoer....Urgh, lets not talk about him again

But yeah, I was excited when I heard Schumi would return in Ferrari that year...Can't believe it's almost five years gone now...

Suspect in theft of Michael Schumacher's medical files found hanged in his cell in Zurich

Good on him.

let's put things into perspective... come now.

Yes, the perspective is that a low life met a low end. Quite in alignment me thinks.

I'd be okay with that if the rule was applied equally amongst all levels of society, but that's not necessarily the case is it?

A bit harsh

If he was guilty then it was a pretty disgusting thing he did but I wouldn't want that of anyone, well mostly anyone but not for that.

It's a start. In fact, it was the honorable thing to do, right with the Japanese way of Seppuku,

Wow DD - you are pretty level headed usually, but I think you've lost perspective.
