What can you expect,it's disappointing results, and the fact its like Ferrari in 2012,not really like a top tier team, but they can bounce back soon

Lewis looks almost humbled by his car's performance, can't wait for the race! Hope for Rosberg to kick some a**e and get himself up there as well at the start. :)

Can't wait to see what happens in the first 10 laps, those Q3 guys already knackered their tyres!

Strong possibility Perez will overtake Button by lap 3, Buttons tyres are shot to pieces, could be a blesing for sergio he didnt make Q3.

Unless McLaren find a way to crew it up for him

Depends on if it's a full dry race or what. Without rain I'm thinking they start on super softs, switch to medium for the following two stops. The super softs on full race fuel will last what 6~8 before they're effectively gone? So maybe we'll see them start on the medium tires.

It all depends on the rain. But if it rains, Rosberg is the man to beat. :hehe:

Wow... is it me, or is the field spread colossal compared to last year? Or was that just due to the drying-track conditions?

Either way, RBR looks dominant.

Should apparently rain at about 6pm local time (race start at 5pm). I hope the race doesn't get stopped through bad weather cause it might not be able to restart again due to lighting and such as we saw yesterday, which would plain suck.

If i were outside the top 10 i'd be starting on mediums, definitely. Supers apparently drop off by 3 seconds per lap over a stint (which i presume is around 10-12 laps), which is going to completely overshadow the one second per lap ultimate advantage from them, plus on mediums there's more scope to limit pit stops in case it rains. Of course there is the factor of tyre working temperature but i can't see it being worth the dropoff in performance the supers get over a stint. A lot of this really depends on how likely rain actually is and when exactly it is likely to strike.

Anyone hear how long an expected stint on mediums is supposed to be?

They reckon 22-24, but I doubt it.

Qualifying basically confirmed that the pecking order at the top is:

Red Bull
Ferrari/Mercedes
Lotus

with Force India/McLaren/Sauber the midfield pack.

I don't think McLaren have showed their true potential in that Quali. Perez just went for the totally wrong tyre choice for track conditions, and Button went far too early on a rapidly evolving track - so when the rest were posting their top times his SS tyres had done 3/4 laps more and he'd lost the edge.

I think they will both be much further upfront next race.

I think McLaren are definitely ahead of Force India (who have been impressive actually).

But quali pace is one thing, race pace is another... i am hopeful that Lotus will show to have better relative speed in the race.
