Trump?! An arrogant bullying skidmark with an obsession for building a golfcourse and a heap of supposedly "luxury" homes on a SSSI is all that bloke is!

aka a pompous arse with bad hair.

Sounds about right. Actually, did you know he was really bald? His head is really extremely long pubic hair that is combed to go under his crotch, up his back and onto his head where it is straightened thus creating the impression of head hair.

So I guess that's everyone grossed out. :hehe:

I believe he genuinely thinks that he's fooling somebody with it. Perhaps it's a case of bad hair beats no hair a all? Samson complex? Just to get this back on topic (can the silly season thread be off topic?) expect to see lots and lots of him in the NJ GP.

I didn't think this would be enough interest of many on this forum to start a new thread... But during this silly season I've got back into watching a bit of cricket. It seems I'm always picking up a new second-favourite sport after Formula One.

Anyway... Michael Clarke on 303 not out against India! Considering just two days ago I was rubbishing him and saying he's a tail-ender I'm mighty proud!

Also, not sure it was mentioned, but it looks like Buemi will get a test role with Red Bull next year. (There back on topic, as I'll probably get done on a technicality that this thread is not call the "Non-F1 Silly Season" )

BTW - anyone notice that the thumbup smiley face's hand is bigger than his head! :yikes:

I've just seen it confirmed. I wonder if he'll return one day to a race seat, or is this the beginning of the end of his days racing in F1?

"It's good to remain with Red Bull for another year and have this opportunity with the World Championship-winning team," said Buemi.

"I would prefer to be driving at the races of course, but working with Red Bull Racing on the development of their car and providing them with feedback throughout the season is the next best thing."

That's to do with the angle in which the photo was taken ;)

So he's remaining in Red Bull... does that mean he was actually at Red Bull last yr? but i thought he was in Toro Rosso... :bs: GTFO!

Lewis Hamilton is encouraged by the new McLaren, saying that the car "seems a lot better than last year's".

Since winning the world championship in 2008 Hamilton has yet to have the quickest car, with Red Bull proving the team to beat in the last two seasons. When asked if that was still the case, Hamilton confirmed that it was, but said that McLaren looked set to be starting the 2012 season in a stronger position than previous years.

"Certainly. It will be up to us to be able to surpass it," Hamilton told La Gazzetta dello Sport. "From what I've seen, however, the new McLaren seems a lot better than last year's ... Basically; the Red Bull is an evolution of the aerodynamic concepts introduced in 2009. Midway through 2011 it was phenomenal, it was at the highest level and on top of that it almost never broke down. By contrast, when we had the same reliability, we lacked the same performance.

"During the winter you always dream of arriving at the start of the season with a car that goes quick immediately. This hasn't happened in the last two seasons. I want it to happen this year. If we start well, we'll stay at the top more easily."

Hamilton also said that Jenson Button's improvement in 2011 was due to the technical team around him, and that he hopes to battle against his team-mate for the title this year.

"Jenson is very fast and has built around himself a very strong team of technicians. I always want to beat him and I'm never happy if I don't. But psychologically I don't see it as a problem. He's an open person who you can get along with. It would be great to fight with him for the world title in 2012; it just depends on the McLaren car."

This last paragraph is a very mature way of looking at things and shows that there is nothing going on at McLaren as far as I'm concerned other than Jenson using his strengths the way Lewis can use his strengths.

Reads to me very similar like the DC- Kimi partnership. DC having Newey and the brunt of technicians on his side VS the raw talent of Kimi Raikkonen.

Bring on 2012 already!!

Jenson has already said the designers and engineers are listening to him. Well if lewis buckles down and gets his act together he'll still beat them

Bad news indeed.

James Allen to lead BBC radio commentary

Watching F1 next year is going to be a very difficult indeed.

Very bad news indeed for the radio listeners.

You'll have to make do with the TV commentary now mate, nothing can be worse than James Allen... :nono:

I work Sundays anyway so I'd have been making do with a recording of whatever sub-standard scraps the BBC decide to offer their viewers.

On top of getting Rory Byrne back working on the design of this years car, SF have really been growing their HR this off season. So far those supposed to be joining SF are:-
Rupad Darekar (aeros)
Ioannis Veloudis (CFD)
Giacomo Tortora (aeros)
Lawrence Hodge (aeros)
Jonathan Heal (composites/stress)
Nick Jefferies (aeros)
Nigel Leaper (composites)

Also Marcin Budkowski (aeros) was rumored to be considering a move but that's been denied I heard.
