^^ police... investigate... :hehe:

I had a 1990 VW GTI first year of 16 valves in the US. Recaro seat, BBS wheels 130ish HP. A nice car back then! I had it for two weeks before it was stolen while I was at a movie theater.

I had a cell phone in it, and gave the Secaucus NJ Police Department 3 phone numbers the thief had the balls to call from my car phone when they stole it. Two to a body shop in the Bronx, and one to a residence. Their response... well we can't investigate because the calls are only 1 minute long and they can say it was a wrong number.

Needless to say, I didn't get my car back thanks to NJ's finest.

I say let anarchy reign; could it be much worse that we have right now? In my experience of the US; the police are 90% ineffective; we had to move previously because the police couldn't get a handle on gang warfare in what used to be a reasonably nice neighbourhood! There seems to be a lot of apathy here in the US; "Well, that's just the way it is" is a common response I get!

Over here I wouldn't be surprised if the phone operator removed the call details from your bill to protect the privacy of the thief.

So I could nick someone's phone and only make calls that last less than one minute and get away with it?

If it's an old or basic phone I wonder if I could claim to be the victim of the crime? :hehe:

My condolences. This would be optimum meme territory but there's too many to choose from. :P If she has some friends that are nice, it could be a blessing in disguise though! Sometimes you gotta take it and get on with things.

It was a good date, we talked nonstop, we laughed, but in the end I got a kiss on the cheek! I still have 5% of hope that its because its our first date, but a large part of me says ZONEDDDD. :crying:

No way in hell, I don't date demons. This is someone (senior who's done with her 1st year) I've been eyeing for a while, and she was giving of signals as well and finally we arranged for dinner tonight. I recognize easily when there's just no chemistry, but this one was really good. She did say at least twice that she had a great time and we should do this again soon.

Any chance she's just taking it slowww you think.
