Take that!! :hehe:

yeah, HAVE IT!!!!!!!!

I dont think lewis is being premature. He said he'd rather take a sabbatical than stay at McLaren. And since then he is in a team not just on the grid, but competitive, its a no lose all the way.

The only way any of the 'pay as you go drivel' Jackie Stewart type has beens could be right is if McLaren turn out to not only have a good car but could have made him as happy as he is now.

Deafening silence from Anthony Davidson, Stewart, 'Im not a poofter, honest' Stirling Moss, Brundle, etc etc

Talking about Brundle, did anyone notice how excited he was with Jenson in Q2. He said 'if anyone can find the grip, its Jenson'

No matter how much sense the things you say might make, you ruin it with the unnecessary comment on Stirling Moss....

It's been 1 race but Mercedes showed some strength. However, if I were Lewis I would've waited till I finished 3 races strongly in the points before saying I've proved the naysayers wrong. Hopefully his optimism shows there's that much more to come from Mercedes.

lol.

You guys are great, he got 5th, from where I'm looking that's business as usual for Merc, and as far as being ignored by Mclaren, yeah 100+ million dollar contracts on table and silver spooning him since he was a child is exactly what I think of when I see the word "ignore".

So, when will it be the right time to say that they are trying to push rosberg out in favor of hamiliton, since he didn't get to finish and hamiliton did. I mean, that's your reality right? Million dollar businesses playing with their money like it is fake for some theoretical king pins amusment.

It's really remarkable the way you guys think. I think lewis is a fantastic driver, probably the best in the league since Alonzo came onto the field, and Mika since that, but he is still just a kid. He's been given everything he wants in his life professionally and when he couldn't run the show like he did from 2008 and 2009, he really went down hill. Jensen has been stuck with same shitty cars as well since 2010 and 80% of the time, he's still very positive.

That's fine I suppose. What a way to say thanks for over a decade of support right? Anyway when Force India is scrapping with you, you got issues.

So if it wasn't for McLaren, Lewis would not have made it to F1? You make it seems as if it was an all or nothing choice in his career.

he got 5th,

BTW, it's probably where he would have wound up were he still driving for Mclaren, so lolz indeed.

I think when you're talking about McLaren in a Lewis thread when Lewis no longer races for them, you've got issues.

.

You missed the post race interviews by Jenson then?

Yes he was pretty positive last year when he thought he was getting a race winning Mclaren and no Lewis to spoil the fun, and very keen to take the credit for it.........
BUTTON...........
" My input is massively important to how the car is and I've been able to do that with this car since half way through last year. That's what really gives me confidence for 2013 because the team has really listened to my direction".

" It's far better to design a car around my style. And that's what we've tried with this car. "

Hmmmmm bit of a media oops a daisy that one turned out to be.

Oh and Mclaren haven't had shitty cars since 2010, they've had decent cars but screwed up their operations and tactics and team management.

Actually they haven't had shitty cars since 2007. 2009 was just a technical issue which they needed to implement to catch up with the DD cars.

Wolff impressed by cool Hamilton

Hamilton finished fifth in Sunday's Australian Grand Prix, two places behind where he started after proving to be the best of the rest in qualifying as Red Bull ominously locked out the front row.
It was naturally not the result Hamilton had been hoping for given his grid position, but there was still contentment overall in a job well done over the course of the weekend.
The result could have been better if the team had not been forced to switch to "plan B", as Hamilton was informed during the race, which meant a three-stop strategy rather than the initially scheduled two.
Despite that, Wolff was impressed with how Hamilton maintained his composure as he told Press Association Sport: "He is great.
"He is intelligent, he asks the right questions, and in the race he kept his head down.
"He had a very difficult race because there was no-one in front or behind him for long periods.
"And when we had to make a compromise with a third stop because we could see two wouldn't work, he kept calm, kept going. It was the hallmark of a world champion."
Wolff, making his own debut with Mercedes in a role he only took on two months ago, was relatively satisfied with how Mercedes fared.
It is likely, given the pace of the car, the team would have finished with both Hamilton and team-mate Nico Rosberg in the points only for the latter to retire with an electrical fault halfway through.
"Before the season started, if we'd been told we would finish the first race with one car in fifth then we would have taken that," said Wolff, ahead of this weekend's second round in Malaysia.
"But then expectations are high, and to have an electrical failure which led to one of our cars stopping is unacceptable.
"With the other car, it ran well. We had an interesting strategy at the beginning with the option (supersoft) tyre, but then on the medium compound the pace dropped.
"It's a bit of a shame, but the team are working flat out, and the car is a solid one, which is good, so we just have to keep our heads down and working hard."
At this exceptionally early stage, Mercedes can certainly consider themselves title contenders alongside Red Bull, Ferrari and Lotus, for whom Kimi Raikkonen took the chequered flag at Melbourne's Albert Park.
"We saw there are four teams who appear to have a good base," Wolff said.
"The interesting point is the car which started seventh on the grid (Raikkonen) won the race, whilst the car on pole (Sebastian Vettel) was third.
"It says a lot about managing the tyres and the strategy, probably compromising the result on a Saturday for the result on Sunday.
"That, I think, is the big picture."
