I'm still hoping that Ferrari can win the WDC, but I would prefer it didn't come from a RB reliability problem. I hope all RB, McLaren and of course Ferrari cars finish all remaining races this year.

I don't think the difference is great at all now. I also think that RB could finish and run well and still lose the lead in just one race. Basically, if Fernando could pull off another win in Korea 25 points and the following 3 places are filled by any of these drivers - Hamilton, Button, Vettel, Massa, Kubica, then that would give Webber 5th and 10 points and put Fernando into the lead of the WDC with 2 races to go.

so if we used the old points system and say Lewis and Jenson were 12 or 14 points behind the leader would we be writing them off? I mean you all can, wont bother me just dont feel so embarrassed if they win the next 3 and take the title. McLaren is not off the pace they are poised to fight. Count on it.

They are out manufactured by Red Bull this year, and are lucky to be ahead of Ferrari because of the better driver pairing. It's not McLaren's to win, it's Red Bull's to loose, and at this point, only reliability and the inexperience of a championship race can hurt them. During the year McLaren have had the better package at certain GPs compared to Ferrari, I wouldnt put it down to just a better driver pairing. Dont forget McLaren out qualified Ferrari here in Japan and if not for gear box problems prior and during the race Lewis would have been in P3.

lewis and jenson drove well but i think they are now fighting a losing battle sadly, both championships are looking unlikely but not impossible!, but if they dont win anything this year, they will be back better and stronger next season hopefully!

I go for McLaren because i grew up following Senna even before he was at McLaren he was my favourite when i went to the GPs since the age of 5 at my own citys race. Once he died I stuck with the team that he had the most success and spent most his time with. Has nothing to do with a British/Australian connection. Infact if you were to suggest this to most Australians they would want to sock you one in the mouth

My point is you dont need to have your own nationality to enjoy a sport. Spanish fans only started tuning in when Alonso was winning. Fair enough but are they really fans of the sport or just fans of someone else winning to make their own life have some meaning in the name of patriotism? I know ill be tuning into F1 regardless of whether theres an Aussie in the field or not.

I follow Ferrari no matter who drives for them. Even if the devil drove for Ferrari I would still support them all the way.

What I find funny is the obsession Spanish fans have with Lewis, and rather than talk about the race or their favourite sons P3 a fan comes on here to talk about a parade lap car? Guess talking about the race is a bit much to ask for a bunch of part time fans who will not care about this sport when Alonso retires.

Alonsos Ferrari wasn't 'wide enough' in Canada when Lewis waved goodbye while he drove past on the straights.

It would've been tougher in Suzuka, but it's not fair to say 'for certain' either way.
