This Hamilton/Webber thing...Whilst It's true Webber likely has no case to answer (Although I haven't seen it from his car so I don't know that for sure), it's pretty crazy to blame Hamilton. Lewis was ahead, and he took the racing line, whilst Webber was trying to duck up the inside to take the place back. Once Lewis arrived at the apex, Mark had committed to his line, but the gap had disappeared and they collided. On Lewis's side, you can say he probably didn't leave enough room, but on Webber's side, that line was never going to get him round the corner perfectly so he should have backed off. BUT...They were at racing speed, and dealing with a lot of factors all at once, so neither one can really be blamed for not completing the manoeuvre perfectly.

What you see as a weakness is our teams greatest strength. The fact is that our Team Manager, as has been Ferrari's stance since the day dot, has made it clear the team comes first. Our drivers don't dictate our strategies, the team decides and the drivers follow, even if it hurts. I would compare it to a coach or manager in any other sport - at Ferrari the coach says who plays and where. He decides that based on the upcoming game and current conditions. At other F1 teams, it's the players who decide where they play and what they will do. From a Tifosi perspective, I sincerely hope both other contender teams (McLaren and RBR) continue to have their drivers dictate their race strategies and work for their personal goals above those of the team. Unity over disarray got Ferrari back in a fight we were completely out of. It might yet sneak us a win.

You're fooling yourself that Ferrari drivers put the "team" ahead of their aspirations. it's only one driver that is asked to do that and consequently "even if it hurts" is only for the number two driver, then number one driver has the team's interest in mind simply because it also is his best interest.

There's nothing wrong with what Ferrari's philosophy is, but to sell it as altruistic?

You can with a straight face say that Alonso would take one for the team even if it hurts? His history would indicate otherwise.

His front wing was damaged on lap one... go check the facts.

You're right, Alonso was kinds to his tires, without lockups or anything. Alonso also didn't have a busted front wing and a damaged rear diffuser. Your comment is being dismissive of Button's driving skill even if you didn't intend for it to be.

Ah ok, i get it. But no, I was not trying to diminish Button's driving in Monza. I only said why his tires were in worse conditions (or rather why Alonso's tires were better than his immediate competitor). To add a bit, Button's car was not faster than the Ferrari at Monza, so to keep the faster car behind he also had to be much more on edge. Basically, i was just saying why Ferrari was able to decide their strategies on both races. Not that Button did anything to make his situation worse.

Anyways... como dicen: El que gana es el que goza, chico!!

think theres some "too big a words" for fan boy talk in there, dumb it down a bit more

:rofl::rofl: You're right.

Alonso the man!! Totally DESTROYED crash kid in Hungary and Singapore and OBLITERATED Jenson in Monza. Boys pack your bags. This championship is sealed. :whip:

What about him makes you get the feeling that he's above everyone else on the grid? Humour me.

just because you hate someone doesnt mean everything he does is negative, Hamilton and Webber were racing, these things happen. Just as Monza was with Massa, but in that case Hamilton was at fault! No Fanboy talk here he duck up in Italy!
But the one with Webber was nothing punishable, But out of the two id put the blame on Webber, Hamilton got a head and was on the racing line. Webber on the other hand went into the turn too tight and understeered.

look at it this way would Webber have taken that line normally? No, Would Hamilton? Yes he was on the racing line.
